Let’s build a simple garden edging! Something that anybody can do and have great results, and at the same time time is different and unique from all the stone bed borders. Nothing more than some construction adhesive, a couple 2×4’s, different length 4×4’s, and some 5/4 deck boards for the top.

Thank you for sharing. This is helpful.
What kind of rocks did you put beneath the 4×4? You mentioned "rocks" but could you be more specific?
How do you know how much to stagger the timber by? Nobody ever talks about that in these videos. EVER! Is there a recommended amount, is there an amount that's too much or not enough?
neat man!
What kind of saw is that? I want to do this in my backyard. Also what kind of wood was that for the cosmetic pieces? And lastly the wood on top?
Thank you so very much beautiful explanation easy work and I think even starters can do this job the way you explained it was great so nice of you
I really like your border. Would you add anything extra other than the last part when you talked about those big nails if I'm going to use this system for a gravel patio retaining wall. I'll appreciate your answer. Great video
Great job 👏
Finally some edging construction technique without use of concrete… thank you
Looks great. Was the glue necessary if you are using screws? I just thought that would be a pain to dismantle when glued. The nails I believe would have secured the 4x4s without a doubt
Came across your video a couple weeks age while like for ways to build a 4×4 garden border. Well done easy to follow. I followed most of your instructions, tweaked them a little and built two garden borders for my back yard. They turned out fantastic. Thanks so much for posting your how too video.
Ty.. you got straight to the point 👉 I love the whole concept of design. Very nice touch by adding the 7" of 2×4 to the side. It gives it that little extra Pop to make it stand out. Great job
great job, man! How did you treat the wood? ( to prevent rot)
I really like that
very nice !! What type of GLUE IS THAT?
This looks awesome! What type of wood is this, cedar?
Great video- clear and really useful – thanks mate
Termite nesting agains the house I was told in Nevada and Arizona😅
Thanks for this video! I loved it so much, I just had a guy to do this and one around my tree.
Beautiful!
You are absolutely a blessing when you're starting out in DIY Garden Bed Edging you need an expert who provides detailed instructions like yourself… for which I am so grateful I am going to try this also.
Very nice
Really awesome idea
Wood rots. Don't use wood unless you like building and replacing beds.
Beautiful!
Was any of this stained or is that just how they came and I'm sure this is all treated wood correct? Looks great by the way
What size screws are these and can regular wood glue be used?
Brilliant my friend and many thx for sharing and making this vid,, i hope you make more vids for us beginners,,thumbs up all the way
should have either used pressure treated wood or at the very least, put a few coats of poly on them……or they will turn grey and rot in a year or two
Did you stain the wood/lumber first?
Is still standing?
Thank you for sharing this great video. The only thing I would have like to have seen was how you dug out the trenches and leveled it out.
