  1. I just knew about the green tomatillo’s 😮😂😮 I make ALOT of different salsas 😁 thank you so much for sharing 😇 now I’m curious of how the others taste!??!😊

  2. Gentle FYI here. Big Jim and NuMex are actually varieties of green chile (not bell peppers at all) that originate from New Mexico. Most of our green chiles are those varieties, or ones that come from those (even Hatch Chiles, which is just where they're grown and not a type of chile). They are roasted and made into rellenos, sauces, powders, etc, red or green, depending on when they're picked.

  3. Definitely more tomatoes 🍅 🍅🍅🍅🍅🍅 and zucchini 🍆🍆🍆🍆🍆🍆🍆 and sunflowers 🌻 🌻🌻🌻🌻🌻🌻

  4. Nice work, Travis!!!! 🔌 You are inspiring me Jamerrill! I’m so happy for you that you have that wonderful space!! 🌱🌱🌱

  5. A tip about growing onions. Bulbing onions fall into 3 groups: long-day, day-neutral and short day. Day length affects how large the onion gets. For instance, if you plant long day onions when your summer days are short, they won't bulb up very well as the onion is waiting for long days to start putting on size. Long day onions need 14+ hours of daylight to bulb up, day-neutral ~12 hours and short day needs at least 10 hours. I don't know how long your summer days are there, but you mentioned that the Spanish onions you are growing are long day onions. Your day length MIGHT affect your success in this instance. I'm much farther north than you, so long days are perfect for me (Ontario, Canada). Also, thyme, oregano, and sage over winter in my in ground beds perfectly fine.

  6. Check out Chelsea at Little Mountain Ranch for gardening tips. She's been gardening for years. She also has a big family and does a lot of different food storage options. I really enjoy watching her.

  7. Hi my friend I wish you happy growing you certainly have plenty of seeds I'm growing tomatoes ,spinach all sorts of 🌺 flowers ,green beans, 🥕 carrots and various herbs god bless🥰🌹

  8. Be careful where you get your mulch from. Years ago we got a truckload from a reputable nursery and it had mold in it and we didn't know. Mold started growing on the house. I'm kind of assuming that since you cut down a lot trees and stumps that you have your own mulch from that.

  9. We got some seeds the other day. Got my grandson some pumpkin seeds and you would have thought he won the lottery. 😊 My dad used to grow pumpkins at the barn. The only thing was he would have to use a ladder to get them off the roof.😂 Vines went everywhere. The pumpkins were delicious. Horse manure grows food so big and delicious. Can't wait to see the fruits of your labor. Take care and Happy Easter. 🐇💐🐣🐣💖

  10. There’s nothing better than watching JAMERRILL’S AMAZING SHENANIGANS! I always look forward to your videos. Thank you for all you do! Wishing you and your family a blessed Easter.💕💕💕💕💕

  11. I wonder if your squash stopped producing during the hottest part of the summer? It could be that the flowers went sterile because of the heat.

  12. Love all the seeds! Indeterminate means they will continue to bloom and set fruit till frost.. the other.. determinate only bloom once and set all their fruit at the same time!

  13. If it’s impossible to redo your light situation, you can turn over an extra seed tray (or two) and put it under the one you are using to seed start. Get those seeds closer to the light and remove your “risers” as the plants get strong and closer to the light source. Improvise on the fly. Happy growing!

  14. I grew watermelons 3 years ago the personal ones I got 5 watermelons they were red and tasted like candy very delicious

  15. Just a quick note on zones and frost dates. Zones and dates do not correlate at all. For example I live in zone 4a my frost dates line up pretty close with Jamarells. My dates are Mrach 15th & November 15th. Zones actually represent what the coldest temperatures get in the winter. So it's important to know both your zone and your frost dates! Happy planting!

  16. Because they're heirloom seeds will you harvest seeds for.future use? My Pappy saved tomato seeds and had them for future gardens. Love the idea of a garden but in humid, fireant country in eastern NC it never really works for me.

  17. you should get some more herbal seeds for example Nasturtium a very colorful and beautiful plant . I use it in my home remedies in my pain and antibiotic tinctures. there are so many uses for almost every plant.

  18. I booked a short vacation for my husband's birthday the first weekend of May to Williamsburg, VA! We decided to drive so we can go to Sharp Shopper and John Henry!

  19. I don’t like wood chips. To many slugs for me.
But I’ve gotten a big truckload composted leaves from the town to till into the soil.

  20. Shoot 2 years ago we had snow on April 1st in West Virginia.. so it’s def not too late to start seedlings..

  21. Instead of digging up and bringing it in, put it in a pot and bring the pot in. My Mom calls these porch plants. If they are on the porch, they come in for the winter. Otherwise they stay outside.

  22. Concerning the flavorless watermelons….. Living Traditions Homestead or Justin Rhodes (I don’t remember which channel) on YouTube had a video about watermelons. They said that you don’t harvest watermelons until after the stem connecting the watermelons to the plants has died. This causes the sweet flavor.

  23. Just joined your large family table community and img at all the recipes and information it's so overwhelming in such a great way. Going to make this momma of three boys life much easier.

  24. Hollyhocks self seed when flowers are left to go to seed and fall to the ground. So what grows the next year is from the seeds that fall to the ground and the plants that survive the winter also come back to life and regrow again
