How to treat for corn ear worms organically. If your going to grow corn, be prepared for the corn ear worm. These brown worms start chewing the outer leaves before they make their way into the stalk or cobs of corn. Spray with Spinosad (considered organic) as soon as you see damage to prevent the worm population from increasing and getting inside of the corn plants where its impossible to treat. These worms are extra tough and decimate an entire crop of corn within just a few days. Catching the pest early on will help reduce the amount of spray applications and help you be successful growing delicious sweet corn at home.
