What to grow NOW in April! This isn’t your typical video of what to sow this month. Instead, I’ve created an unmissable list of just 5 plants that I think you need in your gardens to give you abundance, tasty food, flowers, and all-year-round interest, without you getting overwhelmed! Don’t just take my word for it… joining me this month are Andie from Dahlia Beach and Liz from @LizZorab with their recommendations!

Happy Easter Niall. What a great way to begin a Sunday morning here in California. Looking forward to watching the latest video. 👍🏽
I'm trying new veg this year – pink popcorn, ufo scalloped squash, peppers, aubergines and cucumbers and I go a bit nuts and just ordered Siberian watermelon seeds. Let's see what I can grow in a few raised beds and pots!
Wonderful collection 🍃🌺🍃
LOL…Sixty-years in the Garden and this is the first I have heard of the word "Courgette"! ….Lord Help me, its all Squash…I usually say Zucchini or Mexican depending on the color.
Dahlia, seed to bloom, in one Season! 🙂 It's True! Second Season is twice as nice!
I grow star magnolia and dahlias in my zone 5b Canadian garden. This year I'm growing the dinnerplate.
Happy Easter, Niall, from Windermere, Florida zone 9b USA 🇺🇸 ❤️
Beautiful video and thanks for asking the Ladies to share their favorite Dahlia and Borage.
Marigolds are my favorite friends, French and African.
Stay well 👍

Oh yay! I’ve been itching for some new plant babies!!!
Could you grow a magnolia in a pot?
Great recommendations. I grew borage, I had no idea how important it is for the bees, thanks Liz. Will grow again. Never have luck with dahilas, slugs devore them here. I love marigolds, and thing is, we can get loads of seeds for the following year from them for sure.Happy Easter to everyone, Especially to you and your family Niall.
Happy Easter, Niall. Thank you for your excellent content. I always appreciate it. DA
Wow that was cheeriness thank you
Thanks Niall – I love a good courgette. The magnolia trees in our area are absolutely stunning this spring. Enjoy the blooms while they last. xx
Love the plants -but ADORE the shirt he is wearing❤
I'm trying cucumelons this year outside and my parents are trying it inside a greenhouse (I don't have room in my greenhouse as it's small). Can't wait to see how different they turn out🤔
Love them all, Niall! I don't have luck with the marigolds, the slugs love them so much. Happy Easter🐣 – Evita
Munster area😁
Great preview to spring. Yes, that squash can really get out of control, something I always recommend to a beginner gardener to build up their confidence. By the way your intros get better and better.
I have a most beautiful Magnolia but nearly every year, as soon as the blooms come out the frost gets them! Same with the Camellia!
Two years ago I had a bare root Magnolia that never came into bloom I brought from a garden shop.I grow my dahils in pots and just move in cold greenhouse cover them with fleece its work so far.
Great vlog Niall I love growing tagettes and marigolds, I save the seeds from year before,so easy to grow and the garden looks amazing when they're all flowering. Thanks for sharing, happy gardening 😊xx
I moved house 13 months ago and among the first plants I absolutely had to have again were magnolias, so they will hopefully bloom next spring when they're 2 years old, or in 2025… (M. stellata, M. soulangeana and a tree magnolia: M. kousa) Thanks for your tips!
wonderful, I have never grown borage. I do grow dahilas every year from seed which is eciting
