I've only been with you for 2 years so when the portage was no more it was heartbreaking and I couldn't believe it BUT you explained it so well that you had moved on slowly much longer then what I experienced and I now understand how you are able to be in your happy place Thank you for all the sharing of your knowledge
I missed the live, but watched the whole video! Can’t wait to see the table and looking forward to thrifting videos and the window box and of course the beautiful garden! ❤️❤️❤️
I think anyone who has ever sold a house that they lived in a long time, finds the changes the next owner(s) make is shocking and bittersweet. Yet each person makes their home the place that makes them happy. Linda is making changes to this new home to make it her own piece of heaven. The previous owner of her new home might find the changes shocking and bittersweet. So goes life. Best to move on and not look back sometimes.
I missed the live version but enjoyed watching this today. So inspiring as always and love to watch all the new things you are doing at the cottage. Such a beautiful home. Happy belated birthday Stewart! 🎉❤
……SHOCK…….Linda, did you say your hometown is MARTINSVILLE, INDIANA ????!!!! It is mine too!!! My numerous ancestors on my father's side left North Carolina from 1800-1835 and worked their way North to settle in Martinsville. Unfortunately I no longer have immediate family there anymore. Wonder if you are related to these surnames/families: Shireman, Shuford, Avery, Jarrett, Cramer, Perry, Pierce, Thompson, Duke, Roberts, Branam, Brookshire, Fulford, Hacker, Spies and so much more!
Social Media is a beast. You can’t possibly comment on everything. You have a personal life and all of your gardening work and videos. None of us could do that either. Thank you for all that you do share!
Sydney and Tommy have full time jobs. They need to have a garden they can maintain. The portager took lots of work and the heat and drought make that harder. I’m ok with watching the changes.
Hi Linda I’m glad you have detached from your old home cause is really hard to see all the changes, especially for me that loved your garden so much, and I understand that’s their house now but I think it definitely lost the charm and magic touch that you put into it. You are creating a beautiful place now and your new home its starting to look amazing and once again, you are putting that magical touch.
I love the way you responded about the new couple who bought your home. she is adorable and I love watching to see what she comes up with too. New owners, new ideas an that’s growth, is good. Lt;s cheer them on.
The best part, just wandering around seeing new growth❤Yes yes me too! I got the biggest tulips this year, beautiful. I find myself walking the dog more just to what’s new. I’m so excited about you new gardens.
Do you have a list made of all the plants Delivered. The other question what zone are you in ? I am not fond of plants …trees that have thorns . You are doing Great at "The Cottage on the Hill " and what wonderful help….
I absolutely loved watching this live – you are so encouraging, and inspirational… I hope you do NOT change your front door though – keep that round window, it has so much flair – and I look forward to learning along with your changes….watching you from Manitoba Canada. [how about planting some Weigela?
Linda’s fairytale garden wasn’t just any garden, it was iconic in its way. To rip everything up so quickly as if it was nothing feels disrespectful and thoughtless, both to the garden and Linda’s feelings. And one would have hoped that a new owner would have valued that style and treasured it, as well as moving forward in their own way. If you wanted something so radically different, why not just buy a modern streamlined house to begin with? Shocking. My sympathies.
I cannot bear to watch what is happening with Linda's old garden now. It keeps coming up as a recommendation in my feed and I don't know how to stop it. However I am loving what Linda is doing in her new home.
Amy, don’t ever apologize for wanting to spend more time with your family. My kids are 25, soon 26 and my oldest is 28. All the running around and time with them flew by. Enjoy your family. God Bless you all ❤️🙏🏽
I'm just in a position to rejoin the garden life that I love since an absence in late 2019/early 2020 and was sad to see that our LV Insiders Facebook Group has been permanently paused. Are we meeting under another format? If so, how do I transfer my membership to the new format?
Calibration of your new oven: I calibrated mine myself. The instructions were in the owner’s manual. You will only need an oven thermometer and the manual. Simple procedure.
Oh Linda, your neighbors and friends are so lucky to have you so close in their lives. I so love people like you. You’re so real and I love your caring nature and love of people and nature. ❤❤
Everyone has to surround themselves in their homes with things that support their own energy, Sydney is making changes and Linda is making changes. We all make changes when we move in to a new home.
Just moved and downsized as well after 45 yrs in the same home not adjusting very well … don’t want to part with things and am having a hard time purging … finding It a very daunting task to put things back up in the new home.🥴🤦🏻 And my new outside surroundings. Went from 1500 top floor to under 1000 and no basement .🇨🇦
I agree that there is a point where if you dont make a Change , you start going backwards. Dweling through the same things doesnt Turn them interesting and creative…you must know and feel when its time to let go and find more projects
My husband and I moved into a smaller ranch home closer to my son and his family about 12 years ago. We are in our eighties now and I have been developing my garden since we moved here. Our neighborhood has a garden club which I love. Saw your channel over a year ago and you always inspire me. Love you Linda and everything you’re doing.

Question. Moved many times and always left gardens that I grieved for after about 3 months. Are you still in the fun stage?
What is the channel name for the young woman that bought your old home????
I want to follow along with the fairy tale house as well as your cottage!! Please what is the channel name??
