I just love seeing all the details. Would love to have some beds from GS!
Good morning Laura and family 🙂
I'll have to watch this again I'm thinking about doing this to my flower beds it looks easy we'll see, thank you Laura and Aaron, looks great. Have a great rest of 😊the day 👋🙂🌱
Great video on drip! I would have liked to see where the extension cord was plugged in and when it is in the greenhouse how do you protect the plug from water or any corrosion. I just don't understand electricity that well.
Alyssa is so fortunate to have the two of you setting up such a lovely spot to grow things!! So happy for her!
THANK YOU. THANK YOU. THANK YOU! I am also a visual learner and will be installing a drip system for my containers! Now I feel WAY less afraid and MORE confident! 🎉😊🎉😊
Hi Laura,
I have been an avid fan since 2014!
I set up a drip system in my two backyard gardens last summer. One has a raised garden (hoping to add a second) and a row of arborvitae and boxwoods along the back, all on drip (Kansas zone 6a). I have had an extremely difficult time with it. I am unable to find anyone who knows how to properly install drip here.
Since your Arborvitae are on the same system as the raised garden, how long do you have the system running (days/length of time)?
Do the Arborvitae have an inline on/off valve?
Any help juggling the water needs on the same system is greatly appreciated.
Thank you,
J Cleary
Your doing a great job! I would by a green house with the 500$ dollar gift card for my house and have raised beds. Thank you.
Omg. Can you come do mine. It looks neat and tidy. 😊
So helpful! Thank you!
There are all kinds of ways online showing how to fill a raised bed. I would also like to see yall make a video of how yall fill your raised beds. What I've done has worked foer me but im always looking for other ways to improve.
I get plenty of rain most of the time in my area, so no need for drip here. I wouldn't want to install and use it even if I didn't get enough precip, so in that case I'd probably do a lot of xeri-scaping. But this does seem ideal for growing some vegetables and herbs in your dry area. I'm interested in the seed-starting she's done, and which trellises or other supports she's chosen for this area, since that's more geared toward what I need, so I'm looking forward to the phase four video.
Thank you Laura and Aaron for demystifying that whole drip line thing for those of us who find it confusing and intimidating. 😅
I always learn so much about irrigation from you guys!
No water hammer?
having a garden bed is my dream😍🙏
You just created another project for me. Wife seeing this and look at me with that look😂
I’m a visual learner too. This was exactly what I needed to see for it all to make sense! Thank you!!
How will it work if the arborvitaes need more water than the raised beds? I’m guessing they’ll just have to hand water for supplemental watering. I am having a similar issue in my own yard because I have two container citrus trees on my tree line but we water the tree line for a few hours every week to get a deep soak but the container plants don’t need that long of a watering.
I just love your videos…I watch them all.
Just in case there is still a giveaway…I would still just love to extend my growing season with a greenhouse. Garden Supply is awesome. I use their worm composting system….love it.
Thanks for sharing.
Greenhouse, please!
Thank you so much, this is such a perfect walk-through of how to set this up, and really demystifies the process. I feel like I could actually do this now!
We live in Europe so I would give the gift card to my sister❤
I would use it to make a green house. Ty!!
Oh lovely, setting up drip is like icing on a cake , the plants will be the fancy decorations. Laura and Aaron make it look so doable for anyone ❤
Thank you so much for all the info for the drip system.
We moved into our house 15 months ago , this will be our second season. I’m starting to set up raised beds, in the corner of our lot. Instead of digging a trench all across the yard, would it be possible to cut onto the sprinkle system and set up another faucet and run the drip from that? Thank you for all the great information you and Aaron supply us daily, I’m watching you for three years, learning all the garden secrets from you, as we moved from zone 10 to zone 5. I have a journal with notes on what to do, what kind of plants I could have here, and getting excited seeing my garden starting to wake up, and show sings of life. Thank you again!
