Did you know that #eggplant are #perennial? They can survive and produce for many years, provided that they are not exposed/killed by cold temperatures. Growing more perennial edibles is one of the ways that I can maximize food production amongst my annual veggie crops. Eggplants and peppers can be “winterized” by brining them in doors if your expecting cold weather. They can be planted back outdoors in the spring time once all danger of frost has passed. Check out my YouTube tutorial on how to grow eggplants from seed all the way to harvest.

Just noticed the earrings đŽđ.
Sorry for the dumb question (this is my first year planting eggplants): the plant will live/sprout new leaves the following year if I preserve just the stem and root? Thanks!
Mine was so sickly from the spidermites, ( finally learned what it was from youđ ) I had cut the whole plant down to about a foot, so no leaves, it has bounced back now so healthy!
