I'm glad you made it clear that killing maggots is nonsense : – )
Thanks Oscar for resolving my dilema but still need your help if you can. Am a first time raised bed gardener mainly following pieces of advice available on select YouTube posts. Now as I was about to fill the top soil prior to planting, I found maggots multiplying quickly after four days of adding small amounts of kitchen scraps from a nearby restaurant. Got confused on how to proceed. In particular what to do to kill the maggots asap so that I don't loose the ongoing rainy season. I appreciate your two organic approaches. Please may I know how long the covering method would take for the maggots to die and compost? Thanks much in advance.
