  1. Omgosh. I have to grow chia now. I read you can eat the leaves like spinach and highly nutritious. Beautiful blue flowers similar to Salvia. Chia should do well here in central texas. See? You mention it in passing and I’m like what? WTH! I will try it in my ground herb garden. How exciting!

  2. I love your paradise. Your passion for nature. It's so peacefull. At the Moment it's not peacefull here in West germany . We have chaos here. What is the right word? We have a flod here. Listening to you is like stop worring for a while. Thank you. Greetings from Dortmund, Westgermany 👂👂

  3. That's how I grew my avocado I just composted avocado pits and all of them grew in the biggest totes.

  4. You got to use natural fertilizer to build up the soil food web. If you use chemical fertilizer you are only killing your soil microbes. Checkout John and Bob's smart soil solution

  5. I am new to container gardening unfortunately my apartment complex won't allow totes but I find ur content helpful with my flower pots. So enjoy the garden tours

  6. Robbie!!! Are you not concerned the squash that had been nipped on could have been by a rodent carrying disease? I don't think I could eat something that had been bitten. I just chopped up the zucchini I had with a nip and tossed it back in the tote. Second question….I removed my baby walking onions and planted them (doing great!) and cut back the green stalks. Will the mother bulb regrow or should I pull it? Did I do it wrong? The stalks were drying and dying back which is why I cut them.

  7. i have 2 'cados (1 conventional 18" with 5 large leaves and 1 organic with 4" root) ready to pot soon. takes determined patience. must take inside for our winter zone 7b. you encourage me soon much.

  8. I noticed that you said zucchini was your favorite vegetable to grow. Have you read the article from Tim Dowling where he said he accidentally poisoned his family with home grown courgettes (zucchini)? Apparently, it’s rare but plants under stress produce a compound called cucurbitacins which produces the bitter taste in squash and cucumbers. It’s thought to be a mutation within the plant mainly saved seeds from homegrown plants or if they have crossed with other varieties. I’ve had cucumbers that have been forgotten on the plant, becoming too large and bitter but never have thought they were dangerous. I’ve always just discarded them into the compost. This has made me rethink saving seed just as a safety concern. I’ve never heard this before until this year and wondered if any other gardeners had any issues, concerns or warnings.

  9. She has created an ginormous plastic footprint in her yard and is teaching all her viewers to do the same thing. Sadly there’s tons of other methods that accomplish the same things without adding tons of plastic into the environment. She’s in California where you’d think she would be more sensitive about protecting the environment.

  10. Love your videos, love that blue cloudless sky, too. I had to use some tulle to pull my tomato plant up so it wasn't hanging on the ground. I just have to be careful watching, because sometimes the swing of the camera gives me a headache.

  11. Love seeing everything you are growing, it gives such inspiration to all of us to get outside and grow 😊😎 I wanted to plant sunflowers around my fence line but buying little seed packets can be so expensive and you don't get very many seeds. Well today I went to a feed store and they have seeds in bulk. For only 5 dollars I bought enough sunflower seeds for the next few years! They also had burpless cucumber seeds and squash seeds. It's a great way to buy seeds for a good price 😊

  12. Robbie: where are your green beans? (that's sarcasm) I have had such wild success with regular ole bush beans…. and honestly… the birds LOVE the leaves and it doesnt really stress the plant from production. Win-win.

  13. Broccoli leaves are delicious, try them with a pan of roasted veggies (toss them in the last few minutes of roasting). Those avocado trees are pretty, my climate is too cold to grow them but it might be fun to try growing them just for a season.

  14. Just saw how you are protecting your veggies—-gave me an idea on how to protect my pumpkins. My grandson loves pumpkins and he has already harvested 10. First time planting pumpkins and I planted too early. We are getting a second harvest

  15. I wanted to let you know we ate our first zuchinni from the garden. And the compost tea did the trick. We finally got female flowers and finally food is growing.

  16. Love watching you! Started with hummingbirds and feeders on my little condo patio. Will try and start with one veggie.

  17. I love the colors of your main chair it's so pretty just colors go so good together green , yellow, and red. You should do more that way especially in the beautiful rainbow 🌈 garden.

  18. I just received my 2nd order of totes in the mail 😁 in thinking 🤔 I have them lined up along my garden but with space and they long ways vertical in thinking 🤔 add 1 across both horizontal and I ordered the tubing which is here and I can make my containers across that's stacked use to make plant food into a bucket since my dogs can't get it since my garden is fenced off. Right this moment I only have totes in the front of my garden. Still planning on designing rest of stuff is in the ground I'll be like you and Gary and keep changing things around I did see a video earlier that you had live at Gary's garden and I was thinking 🤔 of using cyndar blocks then I saw he had pallets which I have so now ill use both and add totes so anything that might be growing in ground that's vines can still grow under if they want I do have a arbor in defiantly gonna add free fencing I got from a friend and add on each side of my arbor for more growing space vertical. Funny how we add and change lol 😆

  19. I enjoyed this garden tour. I’m planning out how i want to do the container gardens next year. I loved your mint tea demonstration. My mint dies off in the winter here in southern Utah. But I dry it and make mint lemonade year round.

  20. Do the ground squirrels jump onto yr plants or climb into yr totes? Either tulle it or keep the zucchini growing within & upright & not hanging down for squirrels to climb up into tote might help
