In this video, Julie from Edible Routes talks about fava beans. She mentions that it is the oldest domesticated bean in the world and is now grown all over the world, including in India where it is called bakla in Hindi. She explains that it is a cold-loving plant and is planted in winter in India, with a two and a half month growing period until it is ready to be harvested for fresh beans in mid-December.
