  1. Very fun video, i hope to see videos of you guys working on this nice bonsai material. Thank you for sharing and always bringing new and interesting videos 👍

  2. Good stuff guys! You have a ton of material at your nursery that will work amazing with bonsai…I’m trying to collect them all…time for more azaleas and dwarf pines!

  3. Enjoyed today's topic of bonsai. I have started dabbling in bonsai and have a few red maples and a bonsai baby from MrMaple as well as some azaleas that I am having fun with. I think the process of growing and developing the trees is as much fun as having a really good bonsai tree. Keep up the good work, and the bonsai content. YMrMaple has lots of trees that would make good bonsai material!

  4. You guy are dropping gems. I been doing the bonsai for the last few years. This past month I just put a bunch "root over rock" I love it and hooked . Thank you Mr Maple crew

  5. The first mistake of a bonsai fan is to put the plant in a bonsai pot, those that you show are seedlings, I have been doing bonsai for 40 years and I am going to tell you a secret (that nobody finds out). In the next transplant, you plant it in greengrocers, fertilizing it with slow-release organic fertilizer 365 days a year, each year in the greengrocer's for 5 years in a bonsai pot, you will get spectacular nebaris. the earth 60 akadama 30 kanuma and 10 fine volcanic gravel to make it very draining

  6. It's a shame to live so far away, I'm from Spain, here in Europe there are only a few varieties never the assortment of varieties that you have, if I went to mrs maple and saw myself surrounded by so much variety, I would go crazy with happiness 👍

  7. Great video 🎉keep them coming 🌳 I’m a big fan of Mr Maple and got over 60 different trees from you guys and already ordering some more. Most of mine are already in the ground, but I’m also trying to learn to make them into bonsai. I have much to learn. Keep up the good work!

  8. Thank-you both, great video! Bryan, your bonsai collection is great – the tree with the golden bark really caught my eye – somehow in their smaller form, a tree’s best feature is magnified MONEY TIP: if you ever shop at Habitat for Humanity (ReStore), thrift stores and the like – keep an eye out at their garden section for cool stuff like trellises, containers, plant and if you are lucky BONSAI pots

  9. Good to see you guys do bonsai!I been growing them a number of years. They get better with time.Keep growing and thanks for sharing your trees with us!

  10. Great video . Glad u guys are getting into this. There is alot to learn but to start its soo easy. Bought my first one 5 years ago and havnt stopped. It gets addicting quick . Theres nothing like a maple bonsai. I bought john nakas books 1 and 2 and they will pretty much guide u through everything. It does take practice and learning what to do but once u get it down it is soo much fun. Also best form of meditation u can do. 🦴👁 on! Keep these videos coming #japanesemaples

  11. As some one who has been obsessed with bonsai for years, I dont understand how more people aren't in love with the hobby. it's awesome

  12. Most of my mr. maple trees I buy are for pre bonsai. Thanks for this video. I hope you will continue this subject.

  13. So glad to see this video! I plan to semi-bonsai a couple of the maples I purchased from you last summer and really looking forward to it!

  14. I have a variety of material that I have bought from Mr. Maple and have been pleased with what they have. One request that concerns me is that for trees to be really good for Bonsai I would like to request you provide material with the lowest possible graft. it is distracting to have the graft high (as trees grow you may have two different bark patterns). Perhaps you could make material with low grafts as itemized for Bonsai and charge a premium . By the way the way you pronounce the term Bonsai is (BONE sigh – translated tree in a pot) the way it's pronounced in the video denotes Bansai (the Japanese war cry "May the Emperor live forever"). Thanks for another great video!

  15. Mr maple bonsai is great. I love that you guys don’t come at it egotistically. Some bonsai guys talk like there’s only one way to do things, and that their opinions or experiences are set-in-stone facts. There’s more than one way to skin a cat. #MaplesRule
