Here is how I like to think about fertilizing seedlings and why I do it.

  1. Would it be best to fertilize in the evening? And if so; would you water them first before fertilizing? Thanks for the garden info journey ā¤

  2. This is such perfect timing! I have an abundance of seedlings germinating as we speak

  3. Great video but the whole "synthetic fertilizer has salt" is very misleading. Most people will understand that it contains sodium chloride (table salt) but that's not what salt means in chemistry. The organic fertilizer will also contain "salts" as the organic compounds break down. The benefits of organic fertilizer is that they break down slower so it's harder to over fertilize your plants and the environment but if you use synthetic fertilizers that's fine too just dilute it the same way to get down to a 3-3-3 or lower.

  4. Can you please do a fertilizer for dummies video? Certain plants need "X" fertilizer, while others need "Y"… I never know what is what (or how often) so I often check out. Help a girl out please!

  5. Hello all !!!! I am a first year (rly rly wanna be) veggie grower . Starting out with a few peppers of course tomato, potato, beats , onions … the basics. A lot of sprouts in green house with these true leaves . Would say tomato fertilizer be good for alll of these especially to start ? Please and ty I’m advance ! šŸ™šŸ»ā¤ļø we are all one

  6. How long does it typically take for true leaves to emerge? (On average) is 3 weeks too slow, or am I being impatient?!

  7. So long it is the 1/4 we could do 1/8 for half? Right?! If we don’t have that many in a space?!

Also, do you have any good recommendations on organic? If we don’t buy ā€œorganicā€ seeds, but we buy organic seed starting mix and fertilizer, would it still be organic? (Could you tell us when organic is no longer organic??)

  8. I just grind up seeds and use them as fertilizer. I buy cheap barley seed, soak them for a day or two to activate the proteins and enzymes, and sprout the root about 1/8 inch of root then grind them up and you have organic fertilizer.
