  1. Grey days are the days I go out and weed. (I cannot go out in direct sunlight, my skin burns then I get physically sick). Weed are greedy and will suck the life out a plant. Even small ones! When I weed, I like to ‘fluff’ the soil around the plant, then shore up the stem with loose dirt. The stem is the most important part of a plant. Next, yes I use Miracle Grow before a rain. Good advice! Just a bit in a watering can, only fertilize plants directly, do not use a sprayer because you’ll fertilize the grass around the garden and weeds, too.

  2. Saw several patches of ground. Then it started snowing again yesterday. Right now I'm seed starting in the house

  3. A great fertilizer is chicken poop soup. Put it in a 5 gal. bucket full of water mix it each day. I'm able to use it around my plants within 3-4 days. When its hot outside I was able to use it within 2 days without burning my plants.

  4. ♥ Enjoyed and loved seeing you help the plants and trees. Great information too. I have hummingbirds so i have plants that have flowers for them. Would love to have different types of birds too. And yes the hummingbirds are so fast and they tease my cat, Bolt. He's not fast enough and he can not fly. Have a restful weekend. Blessings, favor and prosperity in your name Jesus. A fruitful, bountiful abundant harvest! Praise God for He is good.

  5. I had an evening appmt. and did not plan to do gardening but I sat in my lounge chair next to the veggie section. I had put hairy vetch seed around and during the last few days of rain, it just grew up my young trees and bushes. I planted them to cut them and put as mulch to fertilize. Iwas trying to see if you could use that method with vetch. Sometimes the nitro evaps and takes nitro. I stuck bunches near the ground, hopefully, some nitrogen get to the soil. I know all the other methods but I would like to put green fronds in the pots of those it grew up on in hopes it will get nitrogen from it. I was wondering too if it has lots of nitrogen and if you could ferment yourself some fertilizer. Somebody did it with dandelions…I wonder if vetch can be used and if it would be a good amount of nutrients and doesn't contribute greatly to greenhouse gases…lol. Any input?

  6. Hey King, I've been looking for that water filter you have on your hose, what is the brand? Everything is looking good!

  7. I just got a Lomi which is a device that turns kitchen scrap into compost. What do you think about it? Have you used one before? I know you compost outdoors.

  8. King, loved this video. Very informative. I plan to remove all my dead leaves from plants hit by the frost. Damage was far greater than I thought. Took three or four days to assess the damage. My heart was broken when I saw the damage. Trying to stay encouraged. I do feel like throwing up my hands when I see the effort I put in and I still suffered such great loss. I have to turn to God for a better return, next year. He is my great encourager. We still have to Hope.
