  1. Robbie, many melons can be eaten or cooked green. Maybe try the sharkfin before their seeds get hard. I love melons with soft seeds. The young seeds add a texture that I find delicious.

  2. Really nice to hear Robbie's pure "It's snowing!" joy. Nice departure from the catastrophe news and theories.
It's warming up in North Central Florida. Mid-eighties during the day.

  3. What if any is the difference between a sp vine and slips. I grow a sweet potatoes and it grew I cut some green off the top and put in water and it rooted.

  4. Hi Robbie, have you ever had a problem with ants? I tried to put veggie scraps and shredded card boards and potting mix on top I'm planning to put lettuce seeds on top but noticed ants crawling inside the pot?

  5. The weather is very different where I live in Invercargill southern New Zealand. Up in the north island they have had it very wet with bad flood and slips. Down at our end it’s been beautiful summer hot and drought. We aren’t so used to it so hot. Was just thinking when you were talking about different plants and how they do in different climate so true.

  6. Omg! It seems winter never found Gary's garden!!! Everything is sooo green and alive ❣️ awesome job Gary ✨👏
And I've seen your video and your daughters 3 times just to see your enthusiasm and joy for the snow 😍 That makes my day 💖 Thank you Robbie and Gary ✨🌻

  7. So cute to see the hummingbirds in a nest. Adorable. Thank you You both have a nice garden I love your dogs.

  8. I have not had a problem growing sweet potatoes from the store yet where I am. Regular potatoes either. I never get organic.
I am growing some of my own from last year this year.

  9. Not only are they creating shortages in the store they are making it harder and harder to grow ourselves.

  10. Sorry you guys have had bad weather. I'm in north Missouri so it's still winter here, although not as bad as others are having. I'm running out of inside ideas, so I'm anxious for spring.

  11. Ty Robbie and Gary:). Wow snow !! We live in wny so snow comes every year 🙂 love your excitement to see snow !! Ty for sharing.

  12. Hey Gary! Our 1st house was moved like your bathtub over 150 ys ago in Oakland, Oregon. Of course it was over 1/2 mile away and down hill to the new location. Good for you and your back!

  13. Gary is quite knowledgeable. The 30% more nutrients in roots was interesting. Is he a botanist? The problem with the birds eating the pepper tree berries is they will spread the tree that may be problematic if it’s non native and invasive. Looks like a nice life, Robbie.

  14. I’m new to your channel sorry to see you lost many of your plants..this crazy , whacky weather is all part of The Grand Solar Minimum that hardly anyone knows about, it’s a cycle the earth goes through every 400 years basically the sun goes to sleep ..every single State, Country around the world is going to get unusual weather for the next 25 plus years..when you hear on the news oh it’s a once in a life time 100 year old storm like it’s not going to happen again such as the snow you just had don’t listen n become complacent thinking it’s all a fluke and not happen again because it’s going to happen so better to make the change to protect your tender plants as best you can..My son lives in California also he has lived there for 5 yrs hardly ever rained and everything looks dead where he lives ..now they have gotten rain several times the past 2-months n all that dead looking ground is a complete oasis with lush green everywhere..I told him it’s the GSM he laughed at me a month ago now he believes me..
