i ❤ your genuine reaction after eating the cherry tomato! gardening is 👍
💚💛❤️
Just about to plant my tomato seeds so great timing!! Thanks:_)
I'm trying to grow Roma tomatoes in pots this year… I didn't notice any large tomatoes… Are my room is going to be too big of tomatoes to grow in pots?
Only James can grow cucumbers in March.😂😂
❤❤❤❤❤
Excellent video! I've grown tomatoes in 5 gallon buckets and large totes. Works well. This year I want to try Orange Hat – I have the seeds. SuperSweet 100 is my favorite small tomato, they work in the large totes. Taste great, always successful! Thanks James! Have a great weekend!
But if you direct plant in the ground you’ll get all the earth worm fertilizer
Just in love with these videos. Look forward to posting some videos of my garden one day. Cheers.
Hey tuck here’s some love for you❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Excellent! Do you fertilize the seedlings?
Hey Team Tuck! Your tip about tomato seedlings needing more sunlight to avoid becoming leggy was Gold…Sun Gold 😉 Cheers!
When did you film this?
The best intros on YouTube!!!
we grow ours in recycling bins
Jersey is the tomato capital bc of you huh?
❤❤❤
I love your energy, bro. Your vids are great!
My favorite Super Sweet Tomato-grow it every year as it reseeds itself and I just move seedlings where I want them in my yard ( for snacks as I’m working in the garden beds).
Love that you're in NJ..very helpful to be in the same climate!
Heel your buckets 3-6" into the ground. You can thank who ever came up with it.
I was a bit frustrated with my last season’s garden results, then I recently found your channel and now I’m super inspired to get started fresh! Knowledge does make a big difference and I will be more proactive in that regard. Thanks for sharing!!
Those trays are a stellar idea! Where did you get them?
Been watching your videos since last year and just now realized I haven't been subscribed lol. Think it's time to change that!
This is a great coincidence, because just last night I was watching your videos on how to grow in 5-gallon buckets. I live in a trailer park in Oregon, and my single-wide is oriented East-West. As a result, only one small strip on either side of the house gets sun….the North side of the house shades half of the yard on that side and has a shop I never use in the way (I might turn it into a grow room….take advantage of a negative!), and the South side has a maple tree crammed in there that shades half of that side of the house. So I only have so much room to work with. Next year I'll put in above-ground planter beds when money allows, but for now probably buckets will do. Thanks James!
Because of you I grow the SunGold cherry and it's hubby's favorite now 😊
Let’s gooo!!!
I bought an Orange hat plant from my local gardening place, and didnt know they were determinate, so I paid about 15 bucks AUD for the 20 fruit on it haha. I did replant seeds from one of the fruit to get another round in before winter, not sure if they'll be the exact same but they're definitely dwarf, all 9 are tiny and already covered in flowers.
Hi James is seaweed emulsion a good fertilizer to use? I have some that was given to me and I want to use it! Thanks for reminding me to get my garden going this Spring, I meant to and forgot:( I am going to try doing the container tomatoes, strawberries and raspberries this year.)
❤️♡❤♡❤♡❤
Thank you James and Tuck! What about putting rocks in the bottom of the 5 gallon buckets in order to prevent disease?
Thanks for all you do for the gardening viewers. I look forward to seeing more videos. I can’t wait to start growing my garden this year with the information that you shared. Thank you.
I used my own dilute urine to grow giant super sweet toms in Anchorage. Healthy plants and loads of fruits even outside in rainy weather.
Thanks for sharing my friend I do plant in pots with good results tuck is a good dog
Thanks! Keep up the great work!
What a perfectly timed video lol. I just got 10, 5 gallon buckets and my tomato seeds sprouted about 3 weeks ago. A couple more weeks and it'll be time to plant them. 👌🔥
I am mainly a container gardener, and usually grow 4 or 5 varieties. One important thing not mentioned in the video is calcium. Most of the common potting soils dont have enough for tomatoes. Make sure to add some garden lime to the mix or you may get blossom end rot. 5 gallon buckets will work. I like earthbuckets best, but I tried 7 gallon grow bags last year and they worked nicely. Sweet 100 is one of my favs.
Informative video James . Nothing like being trained by the expert himself

For the orange hat tomato plants – I tried these for the first time last season and I got good production at first but they tended to be too compact for good air flow. Leaves were touching the ground as well and the fruit did not really mature all that well. Any suggestions?
Where did u originally buy the dwarf determinate tomato seeds… I have a patio garden 😊
I like how you just used potting mix to start the seeds. This is my third year using seed starting mix and each time my seedlings are stunted and yellow. I don't like how devoid of nutrients seed starting mix is. Next year I'm doing straight potting mix 👍🏼
I am growing Sun Gold Cherry tomatoes, about 20 plants. I have them in different places in my backyard, in order to test the best light places. I'm in west central Florida and I started these seeds last November indoors. I planted them out about Jan. 1st. I had to use row cover a few times, but they hung in. I'm now beginning harvest period and managing to keep the insects off using a water, aspirin and peppermint soap spray every two weeks when I give them fish emulsion. The plants have canes nearly the diameter of a quarter and I will have to try a stronger trellis for them next year as I don't have trees to string them to. Love the flavor, such a burst freshness and greatness. Give us a garden tour of what you are planting out right now!
You are so inspiring. Thank you for another great video. Gardening is so enjoyable and your tips help! Tuck is a wonderful dog, I so enjoy seeing him.
Love the vid, as always! Where did you get all those bartender sever looking bottom trays for your plants? They look so sturdy and great. Much love ❤️ ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤to the garden King Tuck !
