  1. Good morning sweet Kaye! Love your hair! You look like a pretty Daffodil! Can you tell me a little about humus? I've never used it and I'm very interested! IT'S SPRING! YAY!!!

  2. So glad you had some help with unloading those heavy bags of soil and moving that tarp. You are so blessed to have wonderful neighbors willing to help. Hope you have great weekend. Blessings…

  3. I bought every pack of marigold seeds I could find. One year I planted them thick around my greenbeans, I got 3 or 4 pickings without bugs eating them.

  4. Kaye, you can cover the blooms with a cup and plastic bag. Can’t wait until story time on Sunday. 😊

  5. Hello there kaye, dearest late bloomer, yutube friend, oh excited about spring on the way,😊,busy busy bee time. Going to have a cup of tea a nd watch this lovely video, thanks so much kaye, 💐 😊.

  6. You might already know this. If you smash the stems of lilacs before you put them in water, they will last longer. I love lilacs! Enjoy your videos!

  7. I feel for you, my friend! My tarp is 40 x 30. That's about as big as I can wrangle by myself on a still day. I hope you can get your cistern repaired and in good working order for the Spring planting season. If you choose to install a drip tape system in your garden, you might need a pump in there, too. I've never worked with a cistern, so this is new for me. My drip system works off of my well!

  8. Hi ya meu bonita. Had a beautiful spring day here in the Northwest yesterday, but today getting that river of rain from the south. I like the background tunes. I happen to be battling with a waterlogged tree TRUNK that has entangled itself on my anchor line. SMUDGING. To save the fruit blossoms laying smoke on them protects them from frost. Don't worry bout your spuds. Thomas Edison said "I didn't fail 2000 times making the light bulb, I succeeded 2000 times learning how NOT to make a light bulb"! The moral is you are always successful. So long for now my beauty.

  9. I generally make my own soil, but in the off-chance I purchas potting soil in a bag, I always purchase OMRI CERTIFIED stuff, because certification takes the guesswork out of the equation.
Learn how to compost and you can turn all your Autum leaves into soil by late Spring like I do.

  10. Possible poison ivey cure for you.
    It worked for me.
I don't think posting it here will work, so Check your email.

  11. Kaye! You inspire me to get out and continue with my lil front yard garden. Today I'm pulling weeds that have exploded with all the rain we've had in Arizona. Then I think I'll plant some potatoes in cardboard boxes because I'm out of wood to build another raised bed…

  12. 🎉Love it! And yes, I’m tired of getting ‘streaked’ here in Indiana too.

  13. Fyi: don't forget to put your cats on heart worm medicine due to mosquitoes. Took my Mom's cat into vet on Tuesday and Bella has heart worm disease 😪 Vet out here in California is trying to consult with Dr in another state. Heart broken. She's the best cat. Nothing we can do. Order set of holistic cat meds to ease her pain.

  14. Kaye, that vine, the "hairy" one looks like Virginia Creeper to me and yes they will kill the host tree eventually. Virginia Creeper has 5 leaf spreads. Poison Ivy stays within 3 feet of the ground and I've never seen it on a tree. There are app where you can show them what you're looking at and they will tell you what you're wanting to identify is. I don't have a link to send, sorry. You are the most industrious woman I have ever seen, God bless you Kaye!

  15. The bees will tell you when to smudge. They will return to the hive to stay warm 24hrs B4 the frost comes. Bueno sorte!

  16. Kaye, please plant a few beans right away in some of the soil you just bought. Beans are very sensitive to herbicides and will sprout and then shrivel up within days if it is bad manure. It will tell you if the horses or cows ate treated hay.

You can bring some in during the cold weather and just sow the seds.

  17. I think maybe we are the modern pioneer women.
I love it. Hard work and all! Keeps us fit, healthy and motivated. Thanks for inspiring so many
