Thanks for stopping by the Brimwood Farm channel. We’re a teeny urban smallholding trying to grow, garden and keep livestock on a tiny residential garden. Can you be self-sufficient and make money from an urban homestead? We’re on a mission to find out.

Your garden is soo beautiful keep up the good work . <3
We all need to take a moment look at what we are consuming and throwing out. You have lent your voice and time teaching others that no matter where you are, you can grow something!
have bought a lot of packs seeds for next few years are about 99p pck so cant go wrong hoping to grow 12mth yr
I like the way you think👍….the farms also use alot of pesticides and herbicides which seep into the soil and damage the land
Thank you for joining the celebration of National Gardening Week. I really enjoyed the video Geoff, great to see that you have masses growing!
Great video Geoff. Wow you've got a lot growing. Youve made some really good points about the planet and how just doing little things we could save it. 💟🌎. Keep us updated, XX your seedling are looking amazing 🌱🌻🌹🌺🍅🍎🍐🍈🌳🍁
I really is amazing what can be achieved and accomplishment in a small backyard / front yard.
Love that you’re having this discussion, much love 💕
Brilliant video Geoff. It’s so nice to hear someone discuss the positives of growing your own food including meat. Sometimes I feel so guilty even when I buy the most ethically bred and raised food. Love watching what you do. Take care. Mags
A great little video. Full of "food for thought"!!!! If I had the space for chickens I would consider keeping some. I don't think I would be able to 'despatch' them myself. However, if I had someone living close by that was comfortable with doing that task, then I would be happy to 'pay' them in chicken, say 1 n every 5 chooks?? Or another time a box of fresh veg or eggs. I would keep 2 groups of chickens. 1 group to breed for meat, and the other group for eggs to eat. I have a 150metre squared allotment plot a very short walk from my house. I love the fresh taste of home grown veg, and I love it that I rarely need to buy veg.
Thank you for mentioning palm oils! I am trying so hard to avoid it 100%.
I completely agree with your outlook. The key is moderation and locally grown. The enemy is mass production. Those greens looked extraordinarily delicious😊.
Thank you for joining in with this collab, I'm really with you on the food miles! You're really informative with the way to explain your reasoning in this video and I deffinately think your going to give some people some interesting things to think about.
Awesome video, Happy national gardening week 🙂 x
Very good video. I agree with the meat – we ended up searching for farms and found a couple that we trusted that were right under our noses! Here we are so lucky to have found friends that raise their animals so well just a 10 minute walk away! We like to support local farmers and in the village the greengrocers produce a lot of their own fruit and veg – we get our milk from there as it is done by a buy your glass bottles and then fill your own system, which we thought was an excellent idea to reduce plastic – we just wash the bottles well and re-use. As for my food miles – the veg plot is the furthest point from the house – exercise! Hah! 😀
