  1. Just what I needed on a sick day with cold and windy, zone 8,time to get ready for the garden.

  2. I grow tons of different basils, bergamot, peppermint, spearmint, and many other herbs. Today I’ll start basils, cilantro, dill, parsley, culantro, chamomile, rosella, catnip, echinacea, some greens and lettuce, some other odds and ends. I’m a little late on my cool season stuff but they should be ok if we have a later spring. I also do some bits and pieces in different places. I’d like to try sticking some various herb seeds, pollinating plants, milkweeds and artichokes or cardoons all over my farm. I love hyssop, you reminded me that I don’t have any,it may have died out last year when I didn’t do much weeding.

  3. I'm in Virginia 6b too! though it never gets as cold as that here. Our final frost is forecasted for April 27. I love your green house space!!!

  4. You sowed the camomile way too deep. The smaller the seed, the more shallow the planting should be. For really small seeds like that, I typically will just scratch them into the soil instead of making a hole for them

  5. On a snowy day here in Maine this is what I’m doing. Watching you and getting all the supplies from the potting shed to start the herbs at least! Love and hugs

  6. I've been stalling started too but usually I start to early inside then they are leggy for veggie seedlings. I'm really going to start a herb garden this season.

  7. We're in MD and have started our seeds in the house, but was curious about your greenhouse. Is it heated? We have a smaller greenhouse that we use later in the year, right now the nights are still dropping down to the high 20s so we have been leery about starting anything out there this early in the year.

  8. Can you guys share the protocol for IBS? My daughter is having a flare up, and isn't taking her pharmakea medicine anymore. Please and thank you.

  9. I made horehound candy many years ago. Best cough drops I ever had. I love seeing people share their herbal knowledge. I have felt like this skill is disappearing. So glad it's not. 🌞🌱

  10. If sowing one type of seed in a flat tray and they are tiny, mix with fine sand and sprinkle to distribute evenly. I used to have 250+ herbs and learned tricks.

  11. I've been working on a medicinal/butterfly garden for 3 years, and each year it grows. I'd like to try growing anise, but I'm confused about the difference between hyssop (Hyssop officinalis) and anise hyssop (Pimpinella anisum). Can you help me with this?
