I finally get to planting the trees. There’s still more refinement to come tomorrow. These trees seem way too tall for the scale I’ve intended. Your feedback and suggestions (if respectful) are welcome.

  1. I think the root on rock will have the biggest challenge but Chinese elms are particularly resilient so i don't think you need to worry. It's really taking shape.

  2. VOILA’….
Absolutely amazing Steve. Talk about a labor of love. Very inspirational and professional creation. This one will be fun to follow. Thanks, keep growing

  3. Hi Steve. This is looking amazing (I'm so envious)! I have a small park landscape I'm planning but nothing to this technical degree. One observation…I think I would have scooted the tree on the rock back a bit more so that it would truly be on the rock. Also I don't think the trees are necessarily too tall. I think about the size of the brick, imagine a person to scale for that and I think your trees might be at mature height for that scenario so if you plan to let them grow taller, then a hard prune in the not too distant future for height control is always an option. I can't wait to see the finished product!

  4. Nice work Steve. I would not be concerned at all with the root work you did. I still can't believe the trees finally made it to the pot. haha. Thank you for bringing us on this journey with you!

  5. Looking already really good Steve ! It's the first of your videos I watch and I'm going to watch the previous parts now to see how you came to this stage. I'm really curious to see how you made that walkway.
About pruning the trees, if you want the little one not look so little, I would prune maybe the taller ones a bit but not all trees in a park , even when planted at the same time and of the same age develop the same way and at the same speed so a smaller tree doesn't look so strange.
My guess for the last area is something with water , mmm, we'll see 🤔 🙂

Edit : I have watched all the previous videos and what a work of patience it has been for you, especially the brick walkway but you did such an excellent job, the result is really stunning Steve, congratulations ! 👍💯

  6. Absolutely brilliant work Steve. I personally really like the scale of those trees, and the fact that these trees look fairly young really works in a parkland setting. As they mature they will look even better, but this works straight away which is impressive.

  7. Catching up on where your at!
Must be so satisfying to moving onto the next step after all the brick laying!

Yes I called you out amongst the viewers and the challenge was sent!

It’s coming along soooooo great so far!

  8. Incredible. I am a bit late so I think I get to watch part 8 and 9 back to back and I couldn't be more excited.

  9. 납작한 화분으로 분재를 할수있군요, 자신있게 나무의 뿌리를 정리하는 영상에 감사해요 You can make a bonsai with a flat pot. Thank you for the video of arranging the roots of a tree with confidence.
