Hello! My name is Bethany and I grow things in my rooftop container garden in Chicago, zone 6a. In this video, I’ll show you what my garden looks like at the beginning of March.

I hope your wildflower seeds sprout. I'm also a bit of a control freak in that i vastly prefer grow lights or winter sowing to directly casting into my yard, lol.
Thanks to your drip irrigation videos, I now have the karpathen (sp) in my backyard! I'm so glad I set this up over the winter so I can focus on other things
It supposed to be 60° today. I snapped a picture of a Robin yesterday. Spring is officially here.
Thats exciting about the containers. May have to get a mini greenhouse and give it a go myself 🙂
Great video! I love your seed pine cones. I would try and get the grow bags elevated or the wet bags can start rotting the wood underneath. If your deck doesn’t bead up when it gets wet, then it’s highly likely it’ll rot with the bags on top all year. I know from experience when I had pots on my deck steps l, and left them out over several winters with soil, and had to replace some deck boards. Thanks for all the great info!
What is your hardiness zone? I also grow on a rooftop in containers and I’ve tried bulbs a couple times and they never came up in the spring.. im zone 5 north of the border, so perhaps a tad colder than chicago? 🤔
me wishing i have rooftop to grow all the plants known to man.
must. not. give. in. on. buying. every. single. beautiful. plant. i. see.
