Gorgeous photo shots!!
Danny I like hearing cattle lowing in the lane I guess I'm funny.
Looking forward to the 12 volt conversion, will be doing the same to my 55 Cub here very soon.
I added electronic ignition too and I don't even use a starter anymore. Just crank start it. Also, added a gas valve and let the tractor run dry when shutting off…no more carb problems either.
Why not pole beans?
The garden looks great and thanks for all of the information!
Love all yr vids..blessings brother
And I love that half-caffeine mix Maxwell House…
Mr Hollis gives you full credit on this genius seeder.😊
Greetings from zone 8b, north of Lake Pontchartrain. I got very bad knees and lousy shoulders, but finally this year I’ve got a start on a “garden.” Planted some bad smallish russets that got green skin (old Wallyworld stock) about a month ago! Surprise! They’re growing! I’m trying some garlic too. I’m gonna try raising red wigglers ( yuck! ) for compost & sales. Wish me luck. Times are bad and likely to get worse. Prayers to all. 🙏🏻
I’m going to order me some of those I love three bean salad but you can’t buy yellow wax beans anywhere.
Now, you lost me I don’t know what your talking about can you explain that further about some kind of contamination in your soil from animal manure.
Danny! Tractor parts: call “Just a few acres”-he is a tractor rebuild expert.
when I save my seed for the next year I put the seeds in the freezer and it works very well I have seeds from years and there still good. from Chuck
Still love that Farmall Cub 👍.
Love watching the Cub work. My 13 year old grandson was just given a Cub with lots of attachments. We are going to have him put it to work to extend our garden this year in areas where our big Ford is just to big to get into. Can't wait. Happy Farming with your Cub.
Did you happen to buy that tractor from an elderly man that lived in northeast Wiggins?
Great video. Your gardening tips are always welcomed. I was taken with the short story of your family planting the garden. I didn't grow up with vegetable gardening; but love it now and work hard to produce some of our food. thank you, Lee
I'm here in SC and while I believe you might get away planting up here this early there is just no way I could bring myself to do it.
See you painted the frames and cultivator bars a more closely correct blue, although it's not the correct blue, unless the color is off. It doesn't bug me as much as that grey did .
Do y'all have a rural king , batteries plus or a Tractor Supply Company? They usually stock 6v batteries. How many batteries have you gone through? I have had mine longer than you and I am still using the same battery I bought when I got it.
You are planting! We have cold temperatures and a bit of snow everyday!😫
Love this type of content, it's educational. A Fast way to get rid of chemicals and heavy metals in the soil is to plant Sunflowers. They are the best at that and fast as well. Added bonus is you get massive yields of Sunflower seeds for animal feed especially chickens. Keep up the good work 🙏
It Is Lovely Garden I Like It My Family
We cooked a pot of turnip roots yesterday. Wasn't much greens to them but I like the roots more any way. Nice Cub!
Another 3 months before we can plant beans here in NS, Canada! 🙁
I never use fertilizer for beans other than manure……They always grow well.
You are blessed with a beautiful piece property, your hard work shows.
changed my 1953 cub to 12volt much happier with it less expensive to by parts now you will be glad of the change…
Since moving here, zone 8a, I've never even thought about planting our snap beans this early. The almost guaranteed frost, and potential freeze chance, up through early May, seemed like a bad idea. Except this is when any pods that got away from us sprout. I should yank some of those up and plop them somewhere not in the way. See how they do through this spring.
What I want is a manual carrot/tiny seed seeder. So far, the brainstorm idea is a 15 by 30 inch piece of lightweight acrylic or resin. Some sort of affixed, standing height handles to lift it along the bed, to new sections, with molding trim on the edges to prevent accidental seed lose. Drill small 3 inch spaced holes, marked with vivid paint, and drop those tiny seeds down the smallest diameter pipe length I have.
If it's 3 inch spacing, then drop a seed, no no no no, drop a seed, for the 12 inch spaced brassicas and similar. The tricky part would be stabilizing the pipe, rubber gasket or something at the base? Prevent fatigue bump misses. It's possible I could skip all the other stuff except the thin pipe, add a 3 inch corner, and just go from there. One row at a time. lol Hope that the seed somehow makes it all the way.
Nice tractor! Fun to watch it work!
Coming from someone that works at case ih dealer the best time to work on,maintain or modify your Tractor is not when it's the off season when the machine is not in use but when its time to use it but best time. We recommend servicing maintenance and any repairs to be done the day you need to use it or better yet middle of the season. 😑😑😐😐😐
Hi Danny .I love your Cub .I have a B414 Can I ask what you use the wax beans for as never heard of them in the Uk .Cheers Ian . .
