Let the gardening commence! Will be popping out at lunchtime to have a quick 30 minute tidy up. The blackbirds are nesting so it must be time to get back in the garden!
Great prompting, Lee, I must get out there and get tidying up. I planted a small Potentilla shrub last year, and it's about 2' high, will it benefit from pruning this year, and if so, is this the time of year to do it, cheers James

Did you cut back the dogwood at the right of the camera at the end?

I'm full of the flu at the mo. So can't get out yet, this has fulfilled my gardening needs while I get better.
I think I'll wait until mid spring, using the dead cuttings as a mulch which gets reabsorbed into the soil.

Ferns grow like weeds in my garden. What is the best way to get rid of the ones I don't want? I am unable to dig them up.
