You can save water by adding some small rocks to the soil. It helps to moderate the temperature and so help to keep the soil more moist. (I got the tip from a master gardener.) Also covering the topsoil with something, like straw, will help to keep the moisture in better. Nice work you have done, and your enthusiasm is very inspiring! Thanks for showing your garden!
Did that plant end up being a patty pan squash?
