If you want to protect your plants for free and you live in a colder area, While shoveling or snowblowing, try to point the chute of the snowblower or cover your plants with snow to protect them while it’s really cold. If you have hardy palms with a crown that should have minimal water in it, or plants with weak wood then having a pop-up greenhouse or even a cardboard box to go over the plant and then shovel snow on top of that will greatly help to keep your plant warmer.
Let me know in the comments section what you think of shorter length videos. Thanks for watching!

Hey, I've been a fan of the channel for a few years now and I also live in WNY you've been really helpful on what kind of "tropicals" will come back in this region with winters that I refer to arctic 😆 I prefer the long format videos but I'm mostly just glad to see content so if it made it more frequent I'm happy with the quick vids too 👍
I would do this if snow dont melt in winter because my climate is dry and snow melt next day no way to do it only leaves cover and rug and tarp work better for me. And my America native bamboo fo freeze damage from 1f and asia bamboo freeze damage. I got rivercane bamboo from Ebay. Healthy bamboo. And doing great for me. Your dog look cold want get in qnf nice green paint in room os my favorite color not matter length of video and I know new yourk and rest northeast famous alot snow there. I haven't decided yet where I like to live. I got Mekong giant banana from ebay hope is healthy banana no disease and I hope my musa velvet is healthy and I will see your next video. And when I make video in my channel no voice. And I didnt edit name of plants in my yard from make video. And nice koi pond lights. Maybe you can try it with washingtonia filifera and trachycarpus with that kind snow cover protection. My trachycarpus palms still alive with alot freeze damage no protection from 1f. Washingtonia palms dont grow for me in summer need heat to grow and countuie warm might to thrive. I hope your potted bamboo live and dont die and and grow back.
Nice video. I love snow. Short or long…..any video is appreciated. Whichever gets you posting more. Always enjoy your garden and your enthusiasm.
More videos, the better. Short or long. Just like hearing all you have to share, year around!
I always enjoy your videos, especially since you are in a similar/same climate as me (pennsylvania). Great question on length of video. The fact is life is busy and I rarely have time to watch long videos, so I'm more likely to click on short videos
Your video very informative and useful to my area. Toronto, Canada. I like your longer format.
Big fan of your koi pond. Please update 🙏

I like your short and long videos, especially the tours with tips. Hey, does BFG or anyone in the comment section know if the mimosa tree will still be invasive in its borderline zone – zone 6? One is volunteering where I would like it to be, and if I do t pull soon, I don’t think it will be possible without destabilizing that part of the hillside.
Snow for us here in USDA Zone 4 is a must to keep the tender plants alive during our long cold winter. Mulch and a tarp first to keep moisture off the crowns, but snow adds the final important touch.
Did the bamboo leaves regrow? How cold did it get? What zone are you?
Great share, Keep it up!
