    Yikes Ivan hope your all ok, my strawberry plants have been under snow twice and minus 12c and they are doing fine so I hope your are ok too. Mother Nature is just showing us whose boss. Stay safe keep warm, Alison 🇨🇦

    I had strawberry plants in containers (hanging baskets and 10L pots) outside when it went down to – 12 Deg C in December, and they all survived, but an allotment neighbour lost lots of their plants that were in open ground.

    Maybe some varieties are hardier than others?

    I got my Broad beans in the Greenhouse not covered, but they will be fine tonight inside the greenhouse hardy plants. in small pots.

    As we have seen so far weather has been extremely unpredictable in U.K.. if this continues we will have a very difficult year ahead just like the rest of the world have had a bad year. I for one will be upping up my game and will be using my time and experience to help me get through this difficult year I fill sorry for the new to gardening. I pray that I’m wrong but the singes are all there so far. Good luck buddy and have a good year ahead

    With the strawberry plants mine are outside but have 3 inches or more of snow on them so tonight that will ask as a good insulator from the frost. Thanks for the video, Ivan 👍 God Bless.

    Damn.. its even colder than previously forecasted. You have done your best Ivan. Hope that it helps a bit.. brassicas will survive is my bet.

    BBC forecast says -12 for me tonight, Derbyshire also but further north. Another site says -7. Fingers crossed 🤞 I have been lucky so far with previous cold spells not affecting me. This time I may not be so lucky.
