I love Bumblebee tomatoes. They're super sweet and have a nice snap to the skin.
I can't wait to start planting my vegetables this year. I'm growing salad in my basement under grow lights. We're in Zone 6a in Connecticut so we have some time yet before we start outdoor.
Bless y'all; love watching your beautiful family live daily life.
Great video!🥰
Grew up with a large garden. I really miss those times. Love watching you and your precious family! God bless y’all. 😀❤️
Y’all are so sweet! Tomato time!!!! Now I have to get busy!!
Alicia Jean’nette from Arkansas
I just told Lon the other day I am so amazed that I can put those little seeds in the ground and watch a little plant appear; i love it! I tried sungold for the first time last year and I loved it; I just ate them off the vine while I was in the garden😁. Happy gardening my friends!😊
I need one more raised metal planter and I'm interested to know where you got yours…?? I truly enjoy your channel. It's very loving and inspiring.
Love yall, watching on Roku 💛
Good information. Do you ever get upset? I only wish I had your patience and easy going ways. Kory is so much like you but Katie is ready to go or at least she gives that vibe) Wonderful family.
The entire time I was growing up we never set tommy toes. But we always had them because the volunteers, as we called them, came up every year. We only used them in season. But Mom sure canned everything else! I don't care for them but I usually set 2-3 every year so the grandkids can snack on them. I've grown Mountain Princess because they are supposed to be a WV heirloom. But I like large tomatoes and I grow Hillbilly, Mortgage Lifter, and Kellogg's Yellow every year. They are WV heirlooms as well.
We grew the medium heart shaped maters last year and they are our favorite; very meaty and lots on the vine. So are the rattlesnake beans.
What tomato variety do you like for tom. sandwich? Nice and flavorful, acidic, problem resistant?
Do you ever try F1 hybrid tomatoes tipper
We sure got a teaser of spring but now we’re back in the cold. Below freezing at night these next days coming up in VA.
Just wanted to say how blessed all of you ladies are!
Those jets were flying on the Tennessee side of the mountains, too. They were headed due east so they were probably the same ones you saw. They were low and loud.
Cherokee purple is a good one. My family has grown so many kinds over the years that I have lost track.
Which sweet potatoes you plant is what I'd like to hear about. My grandparents planted my favorite ever, and I have not seen the sweet potato or slips since. A white meat sweet potatoes with deep wine colored peel. As my mom would say, they were "waxy" and delicious. My grandparents use to tell me they ordered theor slips from South America.

I think for myself I am going to have a smaller garden!!! I like my Chocolate Sprinkles that grow so good for me with zucihine sorry about the spelling !!! Am getting over the Kendall Crap haha giggle !!! Just starting to watch some youtube for myself !!! Am thinking of eating something cheese and crackers maybe !!! I like the way Katie & Corey snuggle into one another !!!
Bon Jovi oh wow love him lol! I really enjoy all you girls’ I’m on Jersey and I can’t wait for 🍅 tomatoes !!! Yummy
I’m excited for you & Corie, too & hope all your tomatoes will do great….I’m in Florida….I have small tomatoes on my Cherokee Purple plants…I have new ones started called..”Mortgage Lifter” & Atomic Grape…hopefully they will do do in my containers and I’ll like them…they came from Bakers Seeds…😊
Interesting!
God bless all here.
I tried the purple bumblebee last year and loved them! They grow like grapes and are a large cherry style tomato. The flavor was fabulous!
My 92 yr old uncle used to plant tomato plants into a bale of straw, so my husband tried it last year, and you wouldn't believe how big that plant grew. It is especially good when you don't have much room.
Enjoyed watching you and the girls working together in the greenhouse. Spring is just about here. Good luck with y’all’s maters. I didn’t notice that you were wearing one of our T Shirts until almost the end of the video Miss Tipper, we appreciate y’all purchasing them and wearing them on your channel. Thank You! God Bless Y’all. 🙏🏻😇
Tomatoes are fruit. Not categorized as a vegtable.
I usto love to plant a garden every year until I caught my neighbor poison our garden one year I never could use that spot again over that because it killed the ground also
We have a seed swap at the farmers market this Saturday – always fun to talk seeds with others and hear how they start their plants each spring. With a short cold snap coming in the next week, us slowpokes have a bit more time to get organized and get those seeds started. Watching y'all today inspires me to get going! Prayers for a good growing season for all and for our big-time farmers who do the heavy lifting each and every day.
This gets me SO excited for spring and our garden! We transplanted all our seedlings to bigger pots and they are flourishing! Well be starting some more seeds this weekend. Yall are the best!!
When I was younger, we had a little garden in the backyard where we grew tomato’s, various small veggies and marigolds to keep the rabbits and deer from nibbling on them. I remember we used Scott’s Miracle Grow and the tomato’s were ginormous! Anyway, there was a contest for best tomato at the local gardening store. I grew a tomato with a nose on it that looked just like Pinocchio. My dad named it Cyrano Deborgiac and entered it in the contest. I won! I got a cute little plaque to hang for weirdest tomato. It was a really nice plaque with everything engraved on this little red metal piece on top of the wood. That thing hung in our dining room until I was grown. I think that was probably the only thing I ever won!😮😅🎉
At my house we love Brandywine and Cherokee Purple. This year I am trying Cherokee Green Tomatoes. They stay green even when they are ripe! You can tell if they're ripe by looking for a yellow tinge at the top/shoulders. I am so excited!
How exciting! I love getting the garden started! Last year I wasn't able to start any seeds & I was bummed. But, one day I drove by a house that had a bunch of extra tomato starts free at the curb. That was so great! All we had was a tomato garden, but they were so good! We're a little cooler here, but I'll be starting mine real soon too. -much love from NJ ~Mary & fam
My husband & I love watching your sweet family.
Y’all got a lot planted today. Looking for to see how the new varieties of tomatoes grow and taste.
My wife and myself really enjoy this channel. We live in black mountain and enjoy the Appalachian mountains
Put little gauze bags around your blossom of a tomato you want to seed save and it won’t cross pollinate
Goal is to get a small greenhouse! Would love to start some seedlings but it is so muddy here in north Mississippi too! Spring fever has set in hard! 😂
