I’m jealous 😊. We have two feet of snow in our back yard on top of our garden boxes. But I did start some seeds 😊
Regular cucumbers will stop producing in the heat. Gynecious and parthenocarpic varieties will produce in the heat cause they r not as dependent on bees. Bees r not active in heat. And for u new gardeners, tomatoes, peppers, eggplant, beans and corn r wind pollinated.
anxious to start putting stuff in the ground. Currently in the hardening off process with my tomatos. Beds & tibs are ready & so am I. 🙂
Its sad tp here that they are having vegetable shortage and rations in the UK. I have not yet planted , but will. My Green House was destroyed by the recent storm and falling Branches landing on it . I did get some starts at the local Plant sale . nut I need to get eggplant and some greens. I am addicted to your videos as I learn a lot from you . Thanks You Jill. Ninette Bird- Cameron , Tx
I planted 4 cherry tomatoes out side, I have back up plants Incase it freezes or wind gets them. Peppers are now 2 inches tall. Broccoli was a fail replant seeds now to see if I can grow them this year
Thanks for the encouragement and caring about us!
Question, in your wicking tubs how many tomatoes do you plant per tub? I planted mine in tubs mid Jan, doing well with hybrids in 9b. 5783 is year of abundance.
oh man! thats not good….. sadly we do usually do what UK does
Thank you Jill! And God bless!!!
Other than blowing a trumpet I just don’t know how else to get peoples attention.
Thank God we can pray 🛐✝️💟
Goodness, 1st I've seen of that bit of news. I agree with Richard L, they're being more "creative" here. So far.🙄
i think we are going to have an early summer, its going to be a hot one! I had a gentleman tell me he is starting a community garden and plan on educating his sons and others. My onions i planted in nov are looking good and potatoes are coming up. My maters are still to small. Your plants look gorgeous.
Good evening. So glad to see a video from you.
This 53 year old love, love, loves to play in the dirt. Amen.
Love the dirt soothes my soul and my 🐔
This is my second spring with a container garden in my small backyard. I am so excited & have learned so much from watching your channel. I am hoping to do much better with my tomatoes this year & hope to get some sweet potatoes started soon.
Will they confiscate our produce?
As a British citizen living in England, I can confirm, there are no rations. There are shortages, and I'm also growing my own, but no rationing here. Also, let me add that when I say 'shortages' I mean, there are perhaps half the number of these vegetables on the shelves than normal, but I've yet to go to the store and not be able to purchase what I want.
Thank you so much for all you do! Very informative and always teaching and sharing your faith!
Wow! Those tomatoes! Gorgeous!
Jill I have grown my own food for over 20 years. I wish and pray more people will take the step towards healthier eating. Growing doesn't have to be hard. Good luck newbies!! Looking for April!! Thanks Jill for sharing!
I lost power today. No reason. My birthday, 70 today. Stay prepped. My seeds are germinating. Window sprouts.
God Bless. 🙏 My window sills are full.
P.S. I stopped at dollar store this AM after Job Lots. They had cloches!!cloches!!! Yes, plastic cloches..
Wow
Hey Jill, I plan to do some transplanting either tomorrow or Friday. I already have my containers ready, but wasn't sure how this rain was going to be. And will be planting some seeds outside as well. I caught my granddaughter yesterday, checking on the strawberry plants that were already potted and that are supposed to be hers. She was excited because, there are a couple of little strawberries on them and starting to turn colors. I still need to get mine in the pots. I do feel better, when I am outside working.
good video
Good Morning Jill—-you won't believe it!!! It just dawned on me that I have a pint and a quart of ACV that I have made since the 365 was kicked off!!! I was so excited to realize that. So…just 363 more to go…lol
I do hope folks try maybe even just one packet of seeds, one container, a little dirt and plant those seeds. It wouldn't be so much to maintain or so expensive…it would be fun and oh so delicious to pull that first tomato off the vine or pepper, squash….whatever they choose. Just start with one. Just start.
Thanks for encouraging everyone and I enjoy seeing all your stuff grow…how and when you do it all. And that was a good point about kids.
Jesus bless as always…ain't He awesome!!!
I live in the UK. There is no food rationing where I live. Eggs are expensive as is fuel but there's a war in Ukraine and we're coming out of a major pandemic. If people don't panic buy there will be no shortages. It's time we stopped expecting out of season vegetables and fruit 12 months a year. Complaining coz you cannot buy strawberries in Scotland or Alaska in February is a sign of how spoilt we have become in the West.
I’m finding more and more ppl are starting to grow some things. Here in Az our temps are starting to warm up and I will be getting a lot transplanted next week or so. Where did you find those tomato clips? Those are cool. Thanks, Jennifer
