Join me as I chat all about Hellebores or some say Lenten Rose with my good friend Dian. Take a trip with me as we head to Wavra Nursery just outside of Salem Oregon. I’m on the hunt for some new Hellebores for the garden because one can not have to many! I’m getting the cool garden ready for the spring and adding in just a few more things this year. Hang out with me on this beautiful winters day as I chat about my plans, plant a few things and enjoy working in the garden.

Awe mom, someone wants to play. ❄️💚🙃
Is it warm enough for elephant ears already? ❄️💚🙃
Love love those beautiful hellebore colors. I want that bike with the planters on it. 😊 That was totally unique….God bless
I have a spot to plant some hellebores. I was never sure how easy they would be to grow. I'll be heading to local nursery this week! Have a good day!
the background music is unnecessary, I had to turn on the captions to make sure I did not miss anything being said.
🙂
I had a lot of interruptions today but I so enjoyed your video!❤
The yellow and cherry blossom hellebores are gorgeous! I just potted up two trays of seedlings today that sprouted up over winter under my green and deep purple varieties. I need some doubles like you showed in the beginning of the video. So many varieties and too little money! 😂
I think ice and roses are sterile?
I have a Daphne shrub by my front door. It's in a big pot (half barrel) as it's on concrete and must be on it's tenth year. It didn't flower in it's first 2 years but the perfume it now pumps out is amazing. Mine thrives on neglect. Fertiliser once in the spring and occasionally watered in the summer. I've never pruned it and stays compact due to the pot.
So pretty! I'm from MI zone 6b and when I see my hellebores bloom through the snow in March I get super excited. Love them!
I just got my first hellebore this winter and am already in love! I'm hesitant to put them out where our deer are though since I only have one right now.. Anyone have opinions on how deer resistant they actually are?
I live really close to Wavra, like almost backyards. I thought they were closed this time of year. I will check that out! Small YouTube world. I love what you do and also follow for tips on growing all the things in our area. Thanks for all you do and grow!
