I have a potato growing in my skullcap. The deer pulled up my skullcap I noticed it after the ground froze so I potted it with some old dirt. The other day I noticed a potato stem growing along with my skullcap in the pot. I still have to take it out but if fascinated me.
Planted my potatoes 2 wks ago, Zone 9B and the plants are sprouting already 😁🥔 🥔 🥔 also planted various seeds and my spinach, cabbage & radishes are sprouting as well 😋
Love this before & after video. Your videos stand the test of time. Nicely done! Love the reminder that smaller trees, perennials and shrubs grow faster that we think. It so cool to see your arbs in the early stages of growth.
Laura, Aaron & Ken! Great to see you guys finally had the time to compile snippets from multiple vids to create a start to finish video. Will be helpful to many people I would think. Well done!
I almost never comment but had to to say I’m so excited to see this style of video! I don’t care that it’s all old video, the fact I can see all the info in one video is incredibly helpful! Especially because I live in the southern hemisphere and I can’t grow at the same time as you. So trying to remember all this amazing info for 6 months to apply it (or search through old videos for 1 important line of info) is very tricky. Thanks so much guys!!
I LOVE this!! My son is very excited to try and grow potatoes, he's only seven and I have never tried it before and I've always thought of it as a difficult crop. You made this look so seamless! I can't wait to get our raised bed filled with fresh soil and get some going 💓
My 3 yr old daughter watched this with me she got so excited because she helped harvest our potatoes this past fall. Can’t wait to see your potato harvest for 2023 🤩
Drying means to cure the skins so they toughen up for storage. Straight out of the ground the skin is damp and tender and easily bruises or scrapes off if rubbed. Exposed to air laid out in a single layer on a rack let's the skin dry out ( like the bagged potatoes you get in the store)

So no problems with potato beetles by you or do you spray anything?

Gosh, I remember planting potatoes when I was at home. I remember digging them up also. We would end up with about 10 to 15 bushel. Great memories!

I am loving this before and after style!!!
Also, don’t let the potatoes sit in the sun. They turn green under the skin, which is poisonous.
Yay! The video mashup series we've all wanted! Looking forward to seeing more in this genre (when it fits with your editing schedule of course)
The video was first shown on April 15, 2018
Yes! Yes! Yes! I follow Hollis and Nancy and they do this type of video and I love it!
I really enjoyed this condensed video and seeing growth start to finish. Thank you!💙💛
Look how little your arbs are here. 🥰
Thank you for all your years of entertaining and informative videos!
