  1. I bought an identical Instant pot for my daughter with whom I live. It's hands down the best kitchen utensil I've ever bought for her. She makes terrific food & we use the slow cooker much less. I remember the old stove top models, they weren't versatile & could be scary. We've had to replace the gasket already as it got a warm spot. Good to know the unit wouldn't work with even a slight issue in the gasket. I wish my daughter was as interested in prepping as she is with cooking.

  2. Ok I need an apron Kaye, where'd you get yours?? Oh how I wish I could have gotten my Grandma's since she made most of hers. She lived in WI and while I went to the funeral I was living in AL and didn't have the chance to go through any of her things, plus I was pretty young and never thought I'd be needing aprons but I'm tired of ruining shirts🤦.

  3. Great job, Ladies! It's always good to have plenty of broth and stock on hand in the pantry, be it chicken, beef, pork or vegetable. Great to use in soups, stews and casseroles.

  4. When I do my broth in my instant pot, I set the time for an hour and a half. It breaks down the bones much better, which is what you want. Its so good and nutritious and nothing like store bought! I have a cup every morning. So fun to watch you and learn things I didn't know about canning. I got brave and canned some chicken and some pork last week after watching your video šŸ™‚

  5. I love your apron! I’m old school too and don’t even own an instant pot😁. Btw I absolutely agree with Teresa about keeping appliances unplugged. I had a toaster shoot huge sparks out the top while it was sitting on my counter not being used. I’m so grateful I was in the kitchen cooking when it happened and we were not all asleep in the middle of the night. God’s blessings!

  6. I've burned through THREE of those silly "Instapots".

Each one worked well right up to the length of the warranty, then QUIT.

Pretty sure all the failures were "planned". The company told me to enclose a $200 check to cover anything that "may not" subsequently be covered by the warranty.

While I WAS born at night, it wasn't LAST night. A new Instapot costs $110 @ Wallymart.

    Instapots are a SCAM !
