Spring is around the corner and there are plenty of February garden/ allotment jobs that can be done during the month.
Gardening in February can be cold and wet, but we are heading into the first month that we can really start seed sowing. In this video we look at vegetable garden jobs for February!
Welcome to the No Dig Norfolk Gardener and our no dig/no till garden where we grow vegetables. We garden in zone 9a. Although we grow our veg from our back garden it is very much set up like allotment gardening UK – allotment life. Our passion is vegetable gardening, bigger harvests and no dig gardening. You will see how growing your own food is so easy.
If you need a little help to keep track of the jobs you could be doing in the Vegetable GardenAllotment, here’s a few handy tips to help you out in February.
If you have asked yourself the question what should I be doing on the veg plot in February or what are my allotment jobs for February.
In this video, I share what I am doing for productive gardening and go through some of my February garden jobs.

How do you know the difference, (raspberries) apart from the obvious, I've moved mine from a different plot in Autumn, and they all got mixed up! 😞
Great video again ,keep it up
Your plots look nice and tidy. Do you chit your potatoes in the greenhouse or in lower light. I thought they needed a bit of darkness (Poor light) to chit well. I've just run out of my home compost with one plot left to cover which is annoying. So I'll be buying some tomorrow.
Lovely video my good sir
Great vid. We just spet all weekend leveling and moving soil.
I have had robins visiting and giving me company while out doing the gardening over the years and have been fascinated to know why. Currently have two who let me know of their presence as soon as I open the door to the garden. Guilty part of turning into a no dig gardener as they use to love me tilling the soil. I am now having feed them dried mealworms which are not as much of a delicacy hehe they are such lovely birds!
Hi Barrie every year we do the same thing with our potatoes we buy and start chatting in January and we plant out by the last weekend in march and we dig our first earlies the first week in June. Every year the same. I think we zone 8 our last frost is middle of may last year it went on till end of may. Every time we see the shoots popping out we cover with either compost or hay we don’t mound up and we do that till the frosts are over. As we are no dig we don’t bury the seed they are just nestled into the surface and mulched. Important thing is to keep mulching with compost or hay or both so no potatoes exposed to light. And rocket for us grows amazingly well. We often think we could harvest b4 first week in June as they already a good size but that’s when we always do. I wasn’t watching your videos last year when you planted yours so looking forward to that. 👍🙋🏻
There is a potato day at Ipswich this Saturday I believe.😊
