Hi, we are Harriet and Mauro and in February 2021 we bought an abandoned smallholding in Castellón, Spain. In these videos we share our life as we restore and improve our little stone house, learn to grow and preserve our own food, and bring our 4 acres of farmland back to productivity.
If you enjoy the videos we make and are looking for a way to say a quick thanks for the work that goes into making them, here is a way for you to make a one-off donation 🥰:

such a great video! it's so cozy
I have strong feeling that you deserve at least 200-300 K subscribers at this point up to the 1 M (and views). I belive you'll be there! Thank you for your youtube broadcasting
Watching your videos during my vet schools exams really calms me and makes my day! Thank you!
I love your channel and I’m really enjoying watching your garden develop. I grow fruit and vegetables in my garden here in Fife so have different challenges to you. I’d love to see you do more cooking content, your food looks delicious!
You are such a bless and a treat. Thank you for sharing.
Ah, the bounty of the earchj! Excellent job and so glad to see you gardening. Carry on!
WoW awesome video, you’re given me so much inspiration, that I am going to try n grow some veggies in bags on my little balcony.
❤️🤗😋
Wow, you‘re such an inspiration, Harriet! For years, I‘m dreaming of having my own piece of land, probably in Spain too… which is funny, because i‘ve come to Spain the first time in october 2022 (and I‘m only 20) 😅 I’m currently travelling in a van with my sister and my dog through Spain and my own land is many years away. But in the meantime, I’ll enjoy your videos! 😊 Lots of love, Celine
Loved your waffle at the end 💚 Great vid and great advice about not being able to do everything … we are slowly starting to learn the same leason here and just trying to focus on what we actually want to do, instead of what we 'think' we should be doing1!! So magical to see how much super fresh food you were able to harvest all year, the oranges, olives and grapes and all the stuff we can't grow here in the UK looked AMAZING too … little bit jealous and super inspiring seeing what you achieved ✌🌿
this was one of the most inspiring videos i ever watched!!! thank you so much! i only discovered your channel recently and i am in awe of everything you do on your farm. sending love from the austrian mountains. ida
Wow what an accomplishment for your “Challenge“ to not become a challenge anymore but to have it be a way of life! Definitely something to be proud of! And I totally agree about not striving for 100% self sufficiency. It takes away from the importance of community and supporting those around us. We as human beings were meant to be part of tight knit communities where we all come together to support each other. I love how much you have been doing this with your friends and neighbours, it’s very inspirational. No one can do it all but all as one we can 🥰
A very impressive year round harvest. ❤
You have done amazing things and I think you’re right to come to the decision of doing ‘what you can and like’. Being in community and bartering is the best part of life
Your recipes would be great. The food you make looks awesome!
Wow 👍 great stuff! Great waffle at the end. Important message 💗
Do you ever watch something and get that lightbulb moment, even if it’s something obvious?
Nettle pesto and acorn flour?! 🤯 mind blown and chefs kiss 🤌
Absolutely do what you like and eat what your favorite things are from your garden. I believe we are each here to help each other, serve each other and share our bounties with each other; it’s rewarding to exchange or to gift your harvest to others, it’s a lovely way to live. Keep doing what you’ve realized is good for you! May this year be even more of a learning experience all around your beautiful home and may your journey bring the joy of your life within your family. Be well and safe and much love to all ❤. You’ve done an amazing job with your videos, please keep them coming.
Harriet for a novice gardener, you are doing remarkably well. Keep up the great work you and Maro do. Your young, and this is the time to follow and fulfill your dreams! 👊🏻🫶🏻
We need more tasty food in the makets! If your seeds or orchard don't give much don't worry, less can be more when it's about that.
Me ha encantado ver sus COMIDAS con estos vegetales tan ecológico y sanos.
A seguir con esta vida tan NATURAL y a seguir recogiendo; porque se lo merece!!!

Can you make a recipe book? I have a quince tree and I made jam, but I would prefer a no-sugar recipe. Can you please share your quince recipe?
When you put food in jars, how do you make sure it lasts in the jar? What do you do to preserve things?
God is really working through you. You are amazing!
Thank you for all your diligence and hard work… your humble approach embraces your very own enough-ness and and by doing so, allows us all feel that in ourselves.
Have eaten something from my garden most days for thirty years, live in New Zealand, its summer at the moment, have so far this season made plum sauce, plum jam and today plum preserves, need to do some pickled beetroot and mint sauce soon.
It's only been the past few seasons that we eat fruit from November Strawberries then other berries (the excess is frozen, for jam when we need more), plums, pears, peaches, apples (excess is preserved) until August/September mandarins depending on how many are on the tree. Vegetables too many to list, only freeze corn and tomato pulp as we eat so much fresh each day.
Superwoman ❤️
Where is all the delicious Spanish meat?
Amazing video! Are you gonna share recipes ? From what u have made of your garden harvest?
I love your final comments, so important to not make it a competitive marathon of homesteading 😣 you certainly had enough of a cornucopia for your first year! I’m starting to prepare beds for spring, poc a poc xx
you may want to prune that pomegranate tree, great job!
Really enjoyed this one, thanks for sharing!
So impressive. You’ve every right to be proud of your achievements. An inspiration as always. I hope your 2023 is even better!
so nice
Hi I guess you are vegetarians?
You should post some recipes. I would love to eat more plant based but I don't know what to make out of anything! 🙂
Nice production!! I wish I could get mine up too that level!!
Mmmmmh 😊😊😊
❤❤❤
The summary at the end . . . . wise words 🙂
Love what you have done with your farmette. Please show us how you prepare your food. In America we don't eat enough veggies. When we grow new things we don't know how to prepare it. Looking forward to you growing that new life. Youur Channel has grown into a productive enjoyable endeavor. Well done Harriet.
Wow. Well done! I envy you your climate – especially now you have irrigation sorted. I'm in N Germany and we get the dry dry hot summer but also Nov to May of possible frost and not much light from Oct-March. I get bugs in my damsons too! Orange "worms", I think they are earwig larvae? But if I use my great hand stoner (like an olive stoner but bigger) then I seem to have no issues. I have to use an electric dehydrator as the air is very damp here, sun not too reliable (Def not when apples and most pears are ripe)- but we have so much wind maybe I could invent something. I wish I had the courage to quit work like you did, but I'm pretty much all alone and if I don't earn, I would be sunk in a year :-(. I do love your videos, inspiring! I wish I could trade but everyone here is retired and better at growing stuff than I am! I am the only cider maker but my neighbours got into making their own Apple wine last year after tasting my cider…
