    Oh Laura! That innocent little giggle brought tears to my eyes. It has been a long time since I heard that sound and I have missed it so much. I am going to save this video and when I need to hear a child’s giggle to lift my spirits I am going to replay this.     The new plant stand is looking so good! I think a simple white or off white lace fabric would look perfect in there to hide everything under the sink.

    There’s nothing like a child’s laughter to brighten the day. The sights and smells in the Hartley when those hyacinths bloom! It’s going to be glorious. That plant stand is perfect for that spot and obviously Mom thought so as well. I’ll bet she and Monica had fun planning that surprise. Ending with Russell “making biscuits”. This video was such a warm and fuzzy start to the day. Thank you for sharing it.

    Mosquito dunks are easier to use than mosquito bits for watering in. I just put one dunk in a bucket of water and fill my watering can from there. I like to mix the mosquito bits into the soil though if I am up potting or transplanting at that time.

    That's so sweet of your Mom! And it looks great. Also, you could do vintage curtains for underneath the sink to hide the bottom area? Was just thinking how cute that would look. P.S. Russell needs some catnip lol.

    The plant stand is just beautiful! It has a Victorian vibe. The best gifts are the ones that are unexpected and for no reason, just because! There are some nice door draft stoppers that are very non-descript that would blend in nicely with your Hartley doors to help keep the heat in and critters out! 😃

    We had some very cold days in Nebraska, but it looks like we will be warming into the 40s this week also. Can't wait. We have had another dry winter, which is very disappointing. I didn't do jug planting in anticipation of it, glad I didn't. The tiered plant stand in the Hartley is so beautiful. Way to go, mom.

    I’ve used black sand & yes that seems to help along with the sticky traps. But this year I’m trying soil blocking & watched a video by The Gardeners Workshop & she uses a product called Gnatrol WDG which active ingredient is Bacillus thuringiensis subspecies israelensis which is a larvicide & just adds that to her water to control the larvae. So I’m trying that along with sticky traps! Yes I hate fungus gnats!

    On mosquito bits…I put them directly on the soil surface. Didn’t make a tea out of them. That way every time they are watered it releases whatever is in them. Greenhouse is just gorgeous!!!! Enjoy!!!❤😎✌🏻

    Thank you for sharing. Children’s laughter is the best thing ever. Did you k ow if you blow bubbles outside yin the cold temperature they will freeze? It’s really fun to do with kids.
