  2. Great content! Sometimes it's eerie how I will be thinking about something and then the same day you release a video on it!

Side note directly below your video was a Roots and Refuge video about the same topic posted today growing season is getting close! 😀

  3. Mine will be started indoors in March. Your plants look great! Beautiful job! Could alfalfa meal be added as an amendment to a tomatoe/pepper garden. This is their first year in this garden. Last year it grew peas, pumpkin with calendula and summer savory.

  4. I grow my slicers in the garage. Don’t have enough time in spring/summer so they can set fruit and ripen before the sun cooks the crap out of them.

  5. Off topic…how would I attach hardware cloth to the bottom of metal raised beds? I have so many voles!

  6. First time gardener here and I grew those last summer in 2 gallon pals and was amazed at how many tomatoes I harvested. Really shocking to me they grew that well in 2" of soil, that gives me some ideas! Thanks for sharing your knowledge with all of us newbie gardeners learning off of Youtube!

  7. Brought in 4 volunteer tomatoes this fall to grow on in my south facing windows. Was harvesting cherry tomatoes in December and the larger ones are still swelling. They did get a little frost damage when the temp dropped to -20, then I think spider mites took over and I took off most of the foliage and sprayed with insecticidal soap. They’re looking better and are still ripening fruit, but next year I will definitely try dwarf tomatoes instead. The lower and lean is ok but the vines kink and I think small plants would be easier to care for.

  8. Growing microdwarf tomatoes during the winter is great! You get fresh tomatoes that taste great. I love Jochalos, Chibikko, Rosy Finch, Cherry Falls, Pinocchio, Orange Hat . soooo good! I have a cheap electric toothbrush on my grow shelf’s. I touch the branches and the toothbrush shakes the pollen

  9. You may have said , but why lay tham on their side.
Also question. What is a good determinate yellow tomato to grow in a container?.
    Thanks for your videos

  10. I am growing tiny tim, orange hat, and dwarf patio tomatoes under growlights. I am also growing sungold cherry tomatoes vertically indoors. We have fresh cherry tomatoes daily to add to our salads.

The grow bags are a great idea as are the tins. I am so thankful for all your gardening lessons.

  11. Worm castings don't really provide much in the way of fertilizer npk what worm castings do is allow the plants to make better use of the fertilizer in the soil. Also they strengthen the plants immune systems

  12. I think you need to specify that these are micro dwarf tomatoes. I started looking into the dwarf tomato project and am starting to grow them. Those dwarf tomatoes can still get to 4-6 feet tall.

BTW you should look into the dwarf tomato project. Would love to see your thoughts and try some varieties

  13. They look like Bonsai, I love it! Ever tried Bushsteak? Description says its 2 feet tall plant that produces beefsteak tomatoes. Sounds too good to be true!

  14. I have seeds for, and absolutely want to grow a few Tiny Tim Tomato plants, maybe six? Every square foot of my garden is plotted out with no room for them. I'm thinking about planting a few in the fall and keeping them in my new greenhouse to see how they do, and growing a few through the winter inside my house. My plan it to fill two feed barrels with water and use the biomass to keep the inside of the greenhouse above freezing through the winter. The water will absorb heat during the day, then radiate the trapped heat at night to passively heat the greenhouse.
