  1. I grow in cocoa mix with perlite. And I use Octopots Which is a hybrid system. Works pretty damn well

  2. I loooove hydro.
    Its so newbie friendly.
Sure transplants take longer to recover but once they do,
    Plants just skyrocket with growth.
Theres still a place in my heart for soil.
But loving hydro. Mine do fine not checking the ph.

  3. Coco is superior by far because of its cheap price! Just add the appropriate compost, perlite/hydrotons and you're off to the races! I also add some old amended soil, dry fertilizer, and humus as an added bonus and watch my plants skyrocket! I topdress with worm castings, bat guano and more dry fertilizer as the plant needs it. Just buy in bulk, as small bags are pricey and letting the materials sit out longer is actually better for microbial health

  4. Love the tips and info man… shout out over here from another fellow grower!! Pretty new into this and always appreciate any advice.. keep it up guys ! Love the material ..stop by and check us out!

  5. Good video. I got peeps who do both. I'm starting aqauponics this season and I'm Just gaining knowledge. Thanks

  6. Used to use Hydroponic and absolutely no comparison, smashed it every time but you have no life, it’s daily maintenance ….. now just use pots but the buds aren’t as thick or as many but I’m only involved 20% of the time

  7. Organic produce is taste better than chemically grown there is no debate on it and it's not subjective you dummy.

  8. Oh……I been using hydro food in my soil for years now and no problem, I’d think it would be the other way around.

  9. Trying hydrocorn for 1st time in rhizo 12 litre cloth pots on a re-circlulating wilma dripper system using shogun range hydro nutrients under a telos 10 pro mesh light which I can turn down from it's max 285watt to 100watt (any wattage can be set) using the telos bluetooth app on my phone. Started seeds in root riots plugs in 1 litre rhizo cloth pots folded in half to 1/2 litre size and surrounded the root riot with hydrocorn. This way i could simply pop seeds in root riots not wet kitchen paper and place these 1 litre pots (so I could transfer to 12litre cloth pots later) in a heated propagator placing the telos light directly on top turning it down to 30 watt. Saves loads on the electric overall and was worth getting the telos mesh starter upgrade kit for my telos 10 pro light as the app sets on/off time. I have 1 nat so I am a lot happier using hydrocorn over tropic mix soil where I had more nat problems. Pump timer for the drippers is set 15 min on 15min off all day (18 hours) and two 15 min segment timer feeds in lights off. All I got to do is check ph every few days and with hydro the worry of over watering in soil is removed. Fully automated system. Finding the shogun nutrients naturally lower the soft water in my area at 6.5 down to 5.8-6.0 so means I don't have to use ph down which is strong stuff.1ml of that in my wilma 40litre tank dropped my ph to 3.5 so won't be using that again in a hurry as had to empty tank and start over. EC with bluelab truncheon is 0.8-1.0 perfect for 2 week old seedlings.
Don't get me wrong tropic mix soil is good as it's 60% peat 40% coco but I think with autoflowers, hopefully I'll get a bigger yield as the plants have everything they need watering/nutrient/oxygen rich wise and hydrocorn can be used forever over and over so has massive appeal to me. Later I hope to get the Lumatec zeus pro 600watt bar light (phonotec in usa) but for now am happy with the telos 10 pro as electric in uk is 20p a kw (very expensive) and telos has optic lenses unlike the lumatec.
    Lumatec 2.9umol 1700par 600watt
    Telos 10 pro 2.5umol 700par 285watt
    Both lights cover 1.2metre x 1.2metre x 2 meter budbox pro tent.

Hope this helps someone thinking of hydro….no soggy roots/worrying about right amount of watering or nats. Rhizopots very good for air pruning roots so no root circling encourages more root growth.
Seen them oxypots and autopots…..bit to advanced for me.
Then there's the whole burping the nugs after in mason jars for 1-2 months lol.

  10. Hydroton works best for me in hydro. The roots become massive, and the saying "the bigger the roots the bigger the fruits" is totally true. I tried coir, but had too many nutrient lock out issues.

  11. Sorry Growace, I can't take advice from a newbie that doesn't know a ph pen isn't waterproof.

  12. Saying that taste between soil and hydro is subjective is trivialising the obvious difference but also a broad issue, especially with food production. Ever get some great looking tomatoes or strawberries from the supermarket these days which are basically tasteless? Then compared them to well looked after home grown from soil? It is like night and day. But the other issue here is about providing minerals and nutrients to the consumer, your body needs basic elements and nutrients to run properly, which can be extremely lacking in modern day foods. Same applies to the growing of certain recreational substances as well, nothing beats outdoor grown under the sun in soil, the terpenes are always superior as is the experience. Of course one can use good organic products to run through your hydro setup as well to help improve the quality of the plants but it still does not come out the same.

  13. Coco and soil is cheaper TTHE HYDROPONICS COCO SOIL CAME WITH POBLEMS LIKE BUG YOU HAVE SPEND MONE YOUR HAVE CHECK PH AL TIME BURNING PLANTS YEAH I DONT THINH IS TRUTH COCO IS CHEAPER I THINK HYDROPONICS IS BEETER FASTER CONTRAL PH B DON IN 5 MONTHS OR LEST DEPEND HOW YOU ONE THE PLANTS HYDROPONICS IS BETTER FUCK SOIL COCO TO MUCH BUGS FUTURUZERS FUCK YOU SMOKING SHIT TO PUTHING POSING ONREAL LETS CUT BULLL SHIT 1/2 ON REAL GUYS SOIL COCO SUCKS TO MUCH MONEY HYDRO PONICS GETS YOU GOING FOR 20 DOLLERS FOR 4 TO 5 RUNS NUTRIANS COCO NO TO MUCH WORK DURY BUF FLYS SPIDER MITS WHIT FLYS IT GOS ON ON ON ON THE KIST BULL SHIT I SPECK THE TRUTH NOT BULL SJ

  14. I hope you can talk about spaghnum moss and peat moss too since you have no mentioned, anyway good video!

  15. Sounds like this dude has his mind all made up lol . Nothing compares to organically grown photo imo and my outdoor yields maybe over 3x hydro .
