  1. I heard somewhere that the pirates Anne Bonny and Mary Read where captured the crew was sailing and the men were antagonizing a government ship into attacking them, most of the crew was heavily drunk, when they government ship tried to take the ship Anne Bonny and Mary Read tried to fight them off as the men hid below deck. I think one of the girls even started to shoot down the stares at her own crew to get them to fight. the best part is that is rumored that before the captains Calico Jack Rackham, and Anne Bonny lover, was brought to hang she said to him "if you only fought like a man then you wouldn't have to die like a dog".
she failed but I still think it fits the theme of the video.

  2. Story 28 is about Adrian Carton de Wiart. The unkillable soldier. Not only did he bite off his own fingers, but he also suffered several injuries during his career in WWI and WWII. He got shot in the eye and refused a glass eye. Instead he wore a eye patch to cover his missing eye. He was also shot in other places including his ear (twice), his legs, his stomach, and even his crotch. Even after losing his hand, he continued fighting for the allies in the war. He would use his good hand to grab grenades from his satchel, pull the pin out with his teeth, and throw the grenade at the enemy forces. This is my favorite part. After the war, he was asked about his opinion on the war. He simply replied with, "I rather enjoyed the war." True badass!

  3. Today I learned Ferrari is responsible for the existence a lot of other car brands

  4. not in histroy but Peter Fox with his album "Stadtaffe", still the best german rap album to this date and he didnt even wanna do it himself the way he did.

  5. Brilliant video,.One of my relatives Edward Stone changed medical history through his discovery of the active ingredient of aspirin, this discovery also had an impact on the research of pain relief medicines.

  6. on pitching a song then self releasing as a hit: sometimes, you're the only one that can make it a hit. i cant imagine the song itself being ass memorable by beyonce or adele. i imagine it would have been their brands that would have gotten it the attention

  7. Joan Jett's "Bad Reputation" song is a simple big "F-U" to all those producing companies who rejected her, believing she was a "bad girl" who wouldn't make much success in the rock n' roll genre of the 1980s. So, she went and produced her debut album by herself with some friends she made during her time in the industry with a small studio. Her album reached the second place and is considered her most successful album to date.

  8. The two lead for the Whatever happened to Baby Jane? movie. Movie industry is still very unkind to older actresses, but back then was even worse, so two actresses who where rivals when young made a truce to adapt themselves the book, wich was popular but had elderly women for lead so the "young and beautiful" obsessed directors would never even consider an opition. It gave them nice money and allegedly their real lingering tension helped giving the scenes the tension they needed

  9. The doc in antarctica, BFD Jim Bridger did a similar thing, ( removed one if their arrowheads from his own guts) but with hostile American indians watching him do it. They gave him MUCH rspect after that.

  10. What they should have mentioned about Julius Caesar was a crucial battle against the Gaul and the last battle of their chieftain Vercingetorix, the battle of Alesia. The Gaul had penetrated the Roman defenses to a breaking point, and even after Julius sent his other officers, including Brutus, with reinforcements the Romans were still losing ground. So Julius grabbed every soldier that could hear him and led a counter-charge, repelled the enemy forces, while simultaneously ordering a flanking maneuver by the surviving Roman cavalry around the outside of the Roman encampment while Julius himself led the charge from the inner defenses with a sword in hand. This battle led to tens of thousands of losses for the Gaul and the surrender of their leader Vercingetorix. Having their general with them on the front line was a huge morale boost for the Roman army. It was this battle that even gave Julius the influence and power necessary to cross the Rubicon in the first place. Julius was already a certified bad ass before he marched on Rome

  11. Story 19: "collab" sony was trying to screw nintendo over with the contract they were pushing for the disc based game console they were collabing on, mind you nintendo did try to go around behind sony's back with phillips because of that shitty deal.

Sony ended up saying fuck it and used what they developed already to go on and make the playstation, but it wasn't so innocent as nintendo "just backing out"

Sony has been historically and always a shitty company in terms of how it treats others in business.

  12. Oh of course Leeroy Jenkins has to be here, kupo. It was a f*ck up, sure, but at least he wasn't chicken, kupo.

  13. During world war 2 the Russians had both the youngest and oldest soldier. youngest being 6 and the oldest 87. Both survived and where quite succesfull despite all odds.

  14. in WW2 Josef Stalin threatened to court-martial his commanding officers, and go fight the nazi's himself if they didnt get their troops in order fast, they didnt, he did. and they never saw day again.

this was in later WW2 when the USSR (now Russia) was losing to the Germans in the German Operation Barbarossa, i would say late 1942-1943. if someone can find the paper documents from Stalin himself saying what i said above thanks.

  15. hey mr mainly facts! I just want to ask, will you ever do a discord server? it could be amazing to talk to you and others who are fans. <3

  16. 2:46 stands for Helicobacter pylori.
A gastric infection I had for close to 30 years, following a contamination situation that made me ill in the late 80s.
If anyone gets diagnosed with Irritable bowel syndrome, I would suggest having a balloon test to see if it's actually H. pylori.
Took me to have acute severe bleeding from my stomach before an endoscopy resulted in biopsies that found the infection.

One week of strong antibiotics and the infection plus IBS, just went away.
Out of 8 people I've told about this, 6 were diagnosed with H. pylori and each of them, no longer have symptoms of IBS.

This is a very common misdiagnosis due to doctors making prejudgments, then asking questions that confirm IBS, when the culprit is an infection.

Get the tests done instead of putting up with treatment that medicates symptoms, but does nothing for the cause.

And don't believe a doctor that continually miss characterises a chronic (long term) infection, claiming it's only acute (short term) when the medica expert's tests list the damage as chronic.
I had two doctors, pathologically deny the findings written by pathology and proceeded to argue against the documents provided.
They were both wrong and one of them gave me prescriptions that were red flagged as lethal combinations.
I'd suggest people not be lazy, and do your due diligence in researching medications and the interactions. <<< Extremely important – your life depends on it. Mine did, more than once.

  17. A lot of people seem to forget that Thanos is the Mad Titan and his plan is meant to be stupid, but he's convinced of it's logic and has been written as just charismatic enough to convince other people that it makes sense.

  18. Heyerdahl was still (mostly) wrong. Anthropologists and historians didn't disagree with him because they doubted South Americans could make the trip, but because the overwhelming linguistic and archeological evidence said (and still says) the Polynesian islands were settled by people who originally came from Asia. Since his trip genetic studies have confirmed this, though there actually was a small contribution from South America as well, particularly when you're talking about Easter Island.

Also, he did cheat with the technology a bit. The Peruvian navy towed him out past a coastal current that would have discouraged actual stone age sailors. In fact, the genetic contribution from South America is small enough it might have come from coastal travelers getting blown out to sea and occasionally surviving, rather than from explorers going on deliberate expeditions.

  19. Not a great moment in history, but one that comes to mind is Sylvester Stallone. Tired of only getting cast as the heavy in films, he set about writing his own heroic character and created Rocky. Not only did he finally get to be the good guy in a film, the role propelled his career in Hollywood.

  20. President Obama, received no help from the GOP especially conservative. People forget how bad it was what President Obama inherited a cluster FKCU America, what he had to do single handily, after 8 years, he handed President Trump an economy in the upswing, fuel prices leveled off, and our national debt was getting paid, OF COURSE TRUMP FUMBLED THAT SILVER TRAY PRESIDENT OBAMA HANDED HIM ,and Trump ran America just like his casino , then handed it over to PRESIDENT BIDEN,and once again has to fix up the cluster FKCU he was left !!!
