  1. Does the yogurt culture have to be at room temp?

If you add cold culture, will it upset the process.

  2. Becky, for my yogurt I use FairLife milk. Put it in the insta-pot, add life culture yogurt and hit the yogurt button. It cooks for 8 hour automatically without heating up first as yours did. Maybe I have a newer(or older) model, don’t know. Turns out beautifully every time. Try it, you might like it@! 😊

  3. Dear Becky,

I am the mom of four grown children. There have been bumps and accidents along the way which is why I want to offer you some caution, delivered with the kindness intention. When our youngest was an infant, I used a ComfeBabe carrier for her. The instructions said not to use when cooking, but at times I did. Nothing untoward happened, but it caused me to think about her body being close to the flame or the possibility of hot things splashing on the carrier and being absorbed to burn my baby. Also, when she was in the bouncy seat on the floor beside me as I cooked, it caused me to push it farther away from the stove not in the line of fire, so to speak.

Your productivity and organization skills are amazing to me. With a newborn there will always be adjustments to what we do and how we do it. Process needs to be adjusted to not have baby near hot soaking liquids being poured or fire on the stove. Maybe baby needs wiggle time while hot milk is moved, etc. He can cry for a few minutes for his own safety.

This is a wonderful time in your life. All new mothers grow into the role and learn along the way. My love to you and your little family. Mary Ann

  4. You are such an energetic and positive person, I really like the things you do on a day to day basis. In India no ones buys yougurt, every one makes their own yougurt, it's been like this since ages. 3 hours is enough to get a sweet yougurt and for a little sour yougurt 5 hrs is more that enough. When the milk is warn, just add a spoon of yougurt and keep it in a place where it stays warm, like inside the oven or cover it with a thick blanket., you will get a fantastic yougurt, no need to stress youselves that much. I am sure you will get used to it once you successfully make it.

  5. Oh Becky! While you were stirring…. I thought oh my, she was looking so great in the stomach after having baby acre. Lol!!!!! I thought why is her stomach so big now? Then🤦‍♀️ I realized it was baby Acre! Lol! Sorry! I need to pay better attention. You look great after having your baby! Thanks for all your videos! Hubby and me were slicing his bread when your video started.❤

  6. Becky its so amazing to see you doing all those things around house so shortly after giving birth (complicated birth!) And seeing that you promote babywearing is so heartwarming, but as I am babywearing consultant (and busy mom as well, so understand how handy it is to have Small one in the sling) i would like to point you few things; please do not cover Baby Acre head with sling, if you tighten sling correctly (it has to be tighten really strong on you before placing baby on it) it will create good support for baby back and head without needing to cover it which can lead to posture problems in the future. Same with legs. Legs always ahould be outside of the sling. Baby should also be placed on the "kiss in the forehead" height. It will be much more comfortable for you (reduce back and shoulder pain). And remember.. you are best mother for your baby no matter what, when and how you are doing 🙂

  7. You might look for your particular manual online. I've found many of the manuals for appliances we have online.

  8. Hey Becky, try pressure cooking some watered-down vinegar to help with the savouryness of your ring. Or keep a second ring, and swap just for yogurt and cakes.

  9. Look up cold start yogurt. You need to use triple filtered milk or fairlife milk but it’s so thick and you get mostly yogurt no whey to drain off.

  10. Has anyone tried making homemade plant-based yogurt with the instapot? I love the end product when I use fairlife milk with a greek yogurt starter, but I have yet to have any success with plant milks. I've followed a few recipes online, though it just hasn't worked and is just as thin as the starter milk. Any tips?

  11. Hi Becky. I made a no boil yogurt following the Fabulessly Frugal channel instructions. Apparently, the key is the type of milk used(ultra pasteurized). I used Stoneyfield Organic whole milk, ultra pasteuried. My favorite yogurt is Stoneyfield Greek, by the way. I was very pleased with how it turned out. I didn't add the condensed milk. Maybe you would like to try this.
    Thanks for your videos!

  12. Frida loves bread on you tube has a very easy to follow video on the instant pot yogurt. But cold start is the way to go.

  13. Becky I love watching you prepare the different meals. But now that your baby is so young, do you not think that having him in front of you when you are in front of the stove, that he shouldn't be in front of your chest as it looks from the camera that his bottom is too close to the flame or at least the heat from the stove. I understand that he wants to be cuddle. Which you can do off camera. More so you are not only giving him cuddles but I can reasure you that what you are doing is spoiling him to be in your arms. At this age it don't take much to spoil a baby. I know from doing it myself 50 yeears ago whit my first child. 🤣🤣🤣

  14. Awe I have the Keababies wrap also! I could never figure out how to get it wrapped when my bub was small, but Baby A looks so comfy!!

  15. My insta pot came with 2 rubber gaskets when I bought it. One of them is clear for all savory cooking, and the other one is orange which I use it for sweets.

  16. Love your videos Becky 🙂 i am just wondering whether you can save money with making your own yoghurt. We do not eat too much dairy, so I could not justify running an electric appliance for 10 hours to get a 5€ product (4.5-5USD). Did anyone calculate it what is the break even point?
