There are still affordable prefab homes on the market. After an extensive search for an option on the affordable end of the spectrum I am excited about in the Pacific North West servicing the Western States. They build modular prefab homes ranging in size from 300 – 616 square feet in a variety of different floor plans including a prefab duplex that could be an option to improve affordability for buyers. In this video I’m looking at Wolf Industries, a company located in Battle Ground Washington building affordable homes with a small foot print. Watch and learn more about Wolf Industries.

  1. Crafting tip….tho it may mean nothing; when you say they have 6 options it would be cool to see snapshots while moderating. Not even a sec needed on each shot. Be cool to know whether this episode is one with desirable models. Appreciate your investigation on these for us!

  2. A well prepared and thorough presentation. I hope they sell a bunch to people who can get the benefits of 4 walls and a roof.

  3. I'd say these prices qualify as "affordable". If we want to compare it to a Boxabl, the Boxabl might get a bit more bang for your buck since it includes the appliances, but Boxabl houses aren't really obtainable at the moment. It's also worth considering that even the smallest of Wolf's houses are bigger than a Boxabl and built with wood primarily. I am unsure if prices on wood have returned to pre-covid/pre-shipping disruption prices yet, but if they have it's still not bad pricing just because of the increased square footage. All in all I'd say, Wolf's houses are a good option, especially for those who need/want a bit more space than a Boxabl can provide. More importantly, these seem obtainable NOW, as opposed to the who knows when for Boxabl houses.

  4. Keep going Kerry! One of these days, you’ll surely get a 100% positive comments section on a video!

This company is practically in my backyard, though I’m looking to move north soon. Like their homes, but a little too small for my tastes.

  5. Wolf is a wonderful example of simplicity and affordability that truly makes getting into home ownership very possible!! I love their models and appreciate their corporate structure!!
    Thank you for including them!!

  6. I can't afford to buy, but look to your channel for building ideas for self build. and to see how your hair and funny wit is doing lol,

  7. Hey Kerry. This got me thinking…. how about an episode dedicated to multi-family prefab or modular homes?

  8. Great find, I've always wondered why modular homes and trailers for that matter are made so plain. These are a step in the right direction, it seems the trailer manufacturers could step up their designs as well.

  9. Love the duplex model, with all its possibilities!!!
    Thanks Kerry 😁

  10. News – Costco USA is now offering Studio Shed through "Costco Next." I believe that gives Costco members certain benefits – discount? points? Might be worth looking into this.

  11. How about showing the ones that work on the East Coast? Beautiful homes. so maybe one day these manufactureres will start building homes on the east coast? ijs

  12. Are there places you can place a 500sf – 600sf home? The town I was looking at buying a lot in has a minimum build required of 800sf+

  13. I sure that even though prefabs do come with some advantages, if the price is as high or higher than a traditional home, then the whole project looses its luster.

  14. Love it’s Name and it’s well thought out designs as well as the two in one 600 plus sq feet for shade past 102,000 grand. I need a closer look but this speaks to me loud n clear and it’s Made in America ! Don’t know how I mist this one but You have done a lot in 3 years ! You provide a great service so those who jab you , really need to bite their tongue ! Every week a new show n tell and No One does it as Good as You ! Bravo Kerry ! 2023 is going to be your best !

  15. Two enthusiastic thumbs up, Kerry! Battle Ground is just a few hours down the road from me. Will have to remember to make a stop on my next trip to Portland. Thanks!

  16. My wife and I have bern going through the purchase process with Wolf for the past year. We purchased the model E, 600+ sq. ft., had it placed in our daughter's residential backyard as an ADU, here in Vancouver, Washington. After going through a rigorous and thourough city permit and inspection process, just received the keys today for occupancy.
It's a solid 2×6 frame construction, very well insulated, set onto a raised concrete foundation with a crawl space.
Working with Wolf this past year has been mostly smooth and painless. To be expected, there were a few minor hiccups along the way, but definitely no deal breakers.
The starting price for our Model E was a bit over 92k. After some options, permitting, having a 400 ton crane lift it into place, the final price ended up being about 190k.
Recommending Wolf is easy. Very personable, you can feel free to call at anytime during the permitting and production process. The fact that they take care of everything, permitting, delivery, set up, was a big plus.
If I were to do it again, I'd have no hesitation choosing Wolf.
