Asaba Ryokan is located in Izu, Shuzenji, and has a 500 year history. I stayed 1 night, but this was definitely the highlight of my trip to Japan. This is one of the best Onsen in Japan

  1. The best food/travel video so far. Thank you for sharing it with us. The culture of Japan shines through in those seemingly simple yet masterfully prepared dishes.

  2. I miss the way this channel used to be where Mike would find a bowl of noodles and then tell the history of how it came to be instead of all this luxury unattainable stuff he’s been embracing.

  3. That looks super cool. I don't think I'd like to always be kneeling on the floor but I'd like that more traditional experience at least once. I don't think my knees could handle more than that haha

  4. Ugh…again, over using the word Umami and now over using the word snappy. SMH

  5. I'm just gonna take a wild guess here and say that everything in the video tastes either umami or juicy or anything else with a Y at the end of it🥱😂

  6. Absolutely stunning. And those shitakes looked amazing, I didn't even recognize them at first thinking they were some kind of bun because they looked too perfect.

  7. The pine needle on the coaster is a perfect reprentation of japanese mindset. Minimal yet so efficient haha

  8. So nice to see a video where we get to see the sites with you. Beautiful location
    Miss those.

  9. Hey!!!! I love your show 🤓🤓🤓🤓, I would like more information on the snacks from Japan 😊😊😊😊😊, I would like to try it

  10. For 500 years and it’s not well known 🤔..

Too bad no price tag, that’s 12 course meal is like 1 plate 😅

  11. I almost vomited when you talked about Shirako, too strange in my opinion but the rest of the stuff seemed to be good.

  12. What an amazing experience. I would love to do that but feel like I could not take advantage of the offerings. I absolutely hate green tea(it is very bitter to me) and I can't eat seafood.

  13. Oh, wow, that hotel is really beautiful! The pond, the waterfall, and the food is so breathtaking! ♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️

  14. It's been a lifelong dream to visit Japan, I hope someday I can visit and on multiple occasions throughout my life, I love everything about their culture, the language, the food, and of course the people!!
