Bonsai is the cultivation and styling of an idealised tree in miniature, but what do we mean by “miniature”.
Here I discuss the recognised bonsai size categories and show examples from my own bonsai collection.

Bonsai phill very good video ilove these small trees thanks Jason keep it up mate
Let me tell you I have a handful of bean type bonsai and bonsai they are most definitely. I've had my crab apple the longest for three years.. it looks like it won't be flowing this year either. I was hoping that being a sucker from my 25 year old crab apple it may flower and produce apples but no flower buds this year 😮💨 I also have a Japanese holley that's under three inches.. the require way way wayyyyy more attention the larger bonsai.. a regular bonsai can take a mite attack or a slug munching on them but one slug can kill my little guys in under 2 hours.. they don't require 5 years of development but can use 5 years of development easily.. it takes time to build a thick trunk when you only have 5 leaves the whole growing season..
