Yess so true great title for 2023
Love all the fabrics! The knit pattern is a good one…I usually like 3/4 sleeves. Please send me the link to that pattern. Thanks!
A video with the maintenance of the Featherweight machine would be fantastic! 😊
I vote you pay to get it printed, worth every penny. I look at it as how much are you spending on paper, ink and time to put it together and to me the copy shop is cheaper and less stressful. I wish the big 4 would offer copy shop versions. My goal this year is to make 9 items that aren't work scrub tops as I've been making them and haven't been making anything else.
I love, love, love the fabric your sister bought you! Totally gorgeous!
Love seeing your fabrics and plans! I haven't sewn in 25 years and just came back to it in 2022. I love it so far, and found your videos to be so helpful (and fun)! I'm gearing up to making a knit dress, wrap skirt, a jumpsuit, and wrap dress, but first I have to hem some scrub pants (🙄). A video of the Featherweight machine would be awesome!
Yeah! Grandma is coming back.
I love all the purple fabrics. I like loud colored fabric. Looking forward to all your makes. Even the steampunk jacket.
I can't wait to watch you make these garments. I am particularly struck by the beauty of the wool for the Vogue belted cape. I think that will be beautiful and timeless. I also like the colorful fabrics for the summertime dresses. As for my plans, I plan to enjoy you and Clemmie and occasionally Grandma making all these things. By the way, that Featherweight looks like a toy.
I have serious fabric envy 🤩😍 they are all stunning x
Love all the prints, and am looking forward to see you sewing with your grandmother and her featherweight! I've made the longer version of the same Vogue pattern trench. Just be careful to measure a current belt you like the length of before cutting from the pattern, as I found it to be way too short and wasted fabric re-cutting it!
I've never seen a raincoat sewn! I would love to see that…Also fabric sources?
I am definitely a big fan of Indie patterns.. I stumbled upon them a few years ago and just found that there was huge variety.. the fit was great for almost all of them, and the instructions for someone who was mostly a beginner at sewing clothing was so much better than the commercial sewing companies😊Looking forward to seeing your makes for this year
For your cotton sateen shirt dress how about adding a dropped waist.. put in secret stretch at the back for comfort…
Hahaha! Texas already had it's cold in time for Christmas and on top of that it's been rainier than usual and many outdoor projects are on hold. Of course that does mean more time to sew.
I sew indie patterns almost exclusively. They fit better, usually have tons of options and often have the larger cup size I need included meaning no full bust adjustment. An added bonus is I can print off the pdf in the middle of the night if I’m so inclined and start sewing immediately. A few of my favourite designers are Love Notions, Closet Core, Helen’s Closet and Chalk and Notch. Have fun exploring – I don’t think you will be disappointed.
