Last summer for the Lunar eclipse , moon was huge / close , disappeared at 10:08 P.M. and started to reappear at 10:12 P.M ,and South of me ,last night tiny / faraway and West of me
Danny and Wanda, What a blessing that land is. Danny, that crazy elberta peach did the same thing this year as2021, after the first freeze in Central Texas. Then we had that week long horror show in FEb. 2021- Lots of new growth and BLOOMING. Its the only fruit tree that keep repeating the same blooming a few weeks after it goes dormant. I'll keep an eye out on my mesquite tree for new growth and leaves. It will be in the 80's in a few days here.Thanks for sharing this journey.
the same thing on those eggs here in central texas. summer of 2021 those same eggs were 3.68 for 5 dozen, now the same case of 60 eggs are almost 25.00.. glad we have ducks and our daughter has chickens. glad I preserved them when my girls were laying alot. the moon has been rising in the NORTH here. 82 degrees this coming week. no rain in sight.

Managing two pieces of property at the same time . . . is a real chore! You will spend a lot of time driving. So I hope and pray your new 40 acres is an easy drive, but your gas expense is going to be higher. 🙂
Danny, some time ago, you were talking about plants not rooting properly ive notice the samething here in Va. What was that condition called. I sure hope you recall that condition.

How many acres does the new property have? How many acres of woods, pasture, farmable land?
We raised chickens when our kids were young, and have had a good source for home raised here in central AZ, but recently saw that they're $7-8/dozen in the grocery store, and our source looks like it's going away, so I am preparing to set up a coyote proof pen so we can get a few hens of our own, because this is insane! 18 packs are $12-14.99 too! I won't pay that much, and am glad I froze a bunch of eggs but will probably be hunting for some hens already laying for the immediate future, despite hubby's reluctance to have more critters!
I'm a subscriber, and I do watch both Deep South Homestead and Porch Time, even watched the most recent one where you talked about striking when the "iron is hot," but what you're not considering when you talk about people not watching is that many of us are from other parts of the country, where your experience in gardening doesn't work for them. I know you are aware of it as you have said many times when asked questions that you don't know how it would work in other parts of the country. And, you are doing things that many of us can't, because we aren't as financially viable as you are. So yes, you will just have to put up with us that listen from elsewhere, as we need to also be watching and listening to those in our own area. It kind of hurts to hear comments here and there about how some of us aren't watching and listening to you even though we're subscribers. I'm very quiet online, and don't use chats very often, but I just want you to know how some of your subscribers may be feeling when you make comments about them. Maybe I should unsubscribe and spend all my time with those sharing what's going on in my area.

there limit of 2 st 5 dollars a doz eggsThey keep telling us it's due to bird flu but I know of none whose had bird flu.
My daughter 8 hours away just got a freeze dryer do she's hoping to freeze dry a bunch from her chickens and mail em to the rest of the family.
