We had a sango kaku at our last house and is what really started my Japanese Maple obsession. Every year it got more amazing. Last spring it was a rainbow of bark color, absolutely stunning. It took on full afternoon sun in Aug/Sept (7b Huntersville NC), burned a little on top but always looked great. Can’t wait to add some of these coral bark selections to our new property this year & in the future!
