$12 for a head of lettuce?!? I think not. Try growing lettuce on your own. Let it go to seed. Never plant it again.

This is a response video to @epicgardening‘s educational video on what is happening to lettuce.

Sometimes it is a good thing to educate yourself on what is going on and, if needed, come up with your own personal solution. In this case, while we are not seeing the same inflated $12 for a head of lettuce here locally, it may be showing up in other places, like restaurants. So when your prices go up, you get a have a little insight, understanding, and patience.

While lettuce may grow freely once a head goes to seed, I don’t want to think about the struggles a full on producer has to contend with on a daily basis. Much respect.
