  1. I late July I sprinkled some purple zinnia seeds among my other shrubs. They grew quickly and bloomed until frost. This adds color in the late summer/fall garden.

  2. What a magical garden! So relaxing and beautiful in a natural way. Nothing looks contrived. Love the color palette.

  3. For another blooming shrub that is pink – The Wiegela varieties are worth exploring! Great foliage and some of them are re-bloomers for the late summer to early fall!

  4. This video has me completely excited for spring! Thank you!! I just love your property and watching it transform. 🙂

  5. I can suggest a Black Lace Edelberry! It has lacecap flowers, looks similar to the Orlea/ Orleah ? It is absolutely gorgeous and I am introducing it to my bed and yes,i have a few varieties of Hydrangeas too. I was really impressed with your "rooms" when I first found your videos and it's exactly what I plan to do this spring. I had no idea where to begin and THIS video definitely is right on time! I know it seems like a simple plan and just do it but I have really been struggling with garden design/landscape plans and re-do's. I am in Zone 6 Ohio so I am very excited to check out all your videos. I struggle with the heights, varieties, there's so many perennials to choose from, plus color schemes. In order to press on i have determined not to get caught up in it so much that i become immobilized by the decisions of it all because i told myself I can always transplant right???? I am so focused on getting it right the first time, it really has slowed me down in progress that i so desperately want to do and most importantly enjoy the process! Check out the Black lace Edelberry, the foliage alone would introduce some beautiful interest and i think mimic your colors that you were looking for. There's also another variety/form called laced up Edelberry.

  6. Wow. May I ask where you purchased these beautiful arches? 😊

  7. You might want to try a crepe myrtle or a rose creek Abelia. My abelia’s stay bloomed pink from July through the first frost and they are semi evergreen. I’m in Indiana zone 6 so they will work for you too.

  8. Hi. I am new to your channel. In this video at 5:43 on the left side you have hymenocallis in bloom. I planted these in my 7a garden years ago. They have never bloomed. I dug them up in fall and have stored them. I want to move them. What did you do for such beautiful blooms? Thank you.

  9. This is so beautiful and helpful!!! I have the hardest time with design and trying to have things bloom throughout the season..
Do you have a video(or would consider doing one) that lists the different types of hydrangeas that you grow, their heights, colors, growing conditions and when they bloom? That’s a lot of info to cover, I know 😂

  10. A small pink crape myrtle would give you a lot of color. I have one with black leaves called Black Diamond. Mine has red blooms and it stands out across the road. I think they make some pink ones too.

  11. Not a shrub but my victory blue Salvia bloomed all August (maybe even july) until a hard frost in November for me this year. First time I grew it, I was thoroughly pleased. I'm in zone 7a arkansas, hot and humid summers.

  12. For August pink flower, what about a pink hardy geranium? Ann Folkard or something similar? Loved this video. I'm adding an arbor next season thanks to your inspiration!

  14. Loved this video, it was so nice seeing all the different stages and seasons, thanks your garden is gorgeous.

  15. Beautiful Danielle! All your hydrangeas are gorgeous. And I love your gates. Very very pretty and very special 😊

  16. Clethra is a summer blooming native shrub with a lovely fragrance, either pink or white blooms. Mine just went through its first season in the ground last year, so the blooms were a little sparse. Hoping for more this year.

  17. Can you tell me what the name of the white flower in your garden. It sounds like you are saying Ola. Thanks

  18. I am southeast Pa as well. What about Chocolate Vine for deep maroon… I got the Little Lime Punch hydrangea and Ruby Slippers. What about tucking in some maroon heucheras around the edges?
