It is a great hobby and in present times, it works as a great stress-reliever for many. Many take up this hobby of gardening but very few continue with it. One of the many reasons people discontinuing it is the lack of success in their gardening journey because of certain silly mistakes they do when it comes to gardening. We will quickly discuss the Top 6 common Gardening Mistakes and How to Tackle them in Garden Tips one by one.
1. Soil Selection / Attempting to grow high quality plants from a low quality soil:
You cannot expect to have amazing food without an amazing soil. Plants may grow but might look overall unhealthy and the yield might reduce. 2. Poor SunLight: Sunlight is very important for photosysthesis and improperly placing your plants or improperly choosing your garden location can affect your plants. As a general rule plants needs to receive the maximum amount of sunlight possible, at least six to eight hours of direct sunlight a day. Of course, there are certain plants that actually prefer shade over direct sunlight but in general for food-producing plants that’s for Garden Tips, plants requires an abundance of sunlight.
3. Poor Timing: planting the wrong plants at the wrong times of the year. Similar to Human beings, like Some of us love hot weather, others prefer it cool. Some plants thrive in summer heat while others perform best in the cool weather. Making sure to plant the right plant at the right time of the year is critical to gardening success. So before seeding or planting first gain some knowledge about that plant.
4. Over Watering: The rule of thumb on watering is: to water deeply but infrequently. Newbie Gardeners tend to be better at the first part of this rule but not the second part. It’s a good idea to fill the soil with water for your plants, but after that you should not water again unless the soil becomes dry. Here again few points to remember are that: Some plants need very less watering like those that store lot of moisture within them for example, Aloe vera, Adenium, almost all succulent plants, and many others. Then secondly, the water requirement is different for established plants with a deep root system and for new seedlings that require frequent watering.
5. Over Fertilizing: Like poisoning the plants instead of nutrient supplementation. If you have idea on the use of fertlizers especially inorganic or synthetic ones, like NPK fertilizer, you better use organic ones like compost. It is often a good idea to apply less than what the fertilizer package recommends.
6. Pest Control: Pests need to be identified and eliminated carefully. Failure to control the pests like aphids, whiteflies, mealy bugs, cutting worms, horn worms, etc can cause heavy damange to your plants.

Hello sir very very good information i love gardening since 45 years and continue till my life ends and i have more than 500 plants in my house but still I like to learn more and more about plants because knowledge has no end especially i eagerly watch your videos in order to correct my mistakes
Sir plz suggest ways to make a plumeria grow faster. I had planted two white plumerias (just rooted) in august but since then its grown only about 3,4 inches
