Joanna visits with Kristin Hildabrand, Warren County Extension Agent for Horticulture, to discuss the Warren County Extension Master Gardener Volunteer Program.
The Warren County Extension Service is now taking applications for the 2023 Extension Master Gardener Volunteer Program! If you are interested in growing knowledge about home horticulture topics and have a desire to volunteer in the community, this program is for YOU! Classes kick off Wednesday, January 11th from 1:00 PM until 4:00 PM at the Warren County Extension Service. Educational classes will continue until April 2023. Interested participants will gain access to over 60 hours of education in the classroom on basic botany, entomology, plant pathology, pesticides and safety, home fruits, vegetable production, and many more subjects! Course fee is $125.00 which covers the cost of the Master Gardener manual, refreshments, and other supplies and materials needed for the course. All interested participants must complete a certified background check before entering the program. Class size is limited to 25 participants.
