great place to buy balsam seeds CHEAP..a seller on ebay..rnew3340 has 50 & 100 seed packets.. .99 cents & $1.59 respectively..lowest prices i could find anywhere on flower & great prices on veggie seeds too….
but, from my experience, Balsamina is not hardier than Walleriana…
Mine grow well in full sun and limestone gravel! They reseed themselves every year so all I have to do is thin them every couple of weeks in spring. I hoe them out of the nearby iris like weeds or they take over! The seeds came from my mother-in-law many years ago and are four separate plant colors-lavender,light pink, hot pink and bright orange/red.
I can't believe our balsamina impatiens grew without special care at all! We just threw the seeds, watered it and it grew! note : i'm in a tropical country , philippine
just wonder how did these get to New Zealand?

If I m not mistaken, balsam plant is annual… I m from India, & if I keep on propagating balsam, will they survive!?
Say 4 example, I have grown a balsam plant in Feb. & from it's cuttings I keep on multiplying the plant, will it than grow in my garden for always!? Or will the plant die in next Feb!?
In short is there a way out for me 2 have my balsam for ever & ever with me…
Pls do let me know 🙏🏻
