Tactics Ogre, crown jewel of the tactical role-playing genre, is reborn!
Based on the 2010 release, the game features improved graphics and sound, as well as updated game design, bringing to life a new Tactics Ogre that remains true to its roots. Tactics Ogre veterans will experience a game that surpasses their fondest memories, while players new to Tactics Ogre will discover a game unlike any they’ve ever played. Reborn and deeper than ever, the game enables players to immerse themselves in the world and intrigue of Tactics Ogre like never before.
The Story
The Valerian Isles, jewels of the Obero Sea. Long a center of naval commerce, the people of the isles struggled throughout history for dominion over her shores.
Finally there rose a man to put an end to this conflict: Dorgalua Oberyth. But history would know him as the “Dynast-King.” King Dorgalua strove to stamp out the hatred among the people of the isles, and for fully half a century, Valeria knew prosperity.
Yet upon the king’s death, civil war erupted anew as three factions vied for control: the Bakram, who comprised much of Valeria’s nobility; the Galgastani, whose people made up the majority of the isles’ population; and the Walister, who numbered but few.
The isles were soon divided between the Bakram and Galgastani, and an uneasy peace settled across the land. Yet none believed the calm would last…
Tactics Ogre: Reborn Features
Your choices affect how the story unfolds, and even how it ends, with a game system that allows for multiple paths through the game and multiple endings. The story takes place through the eyes of a young man named Denam. The decisions he makes will alter the fate of those around him, and shift the course of Valeria’s history.
Fight pitched tactical battles on three-dimensional battlefields. The completely revamped AI enables enemies to adapt their tactics to the situation, providing a battle system that always keeps you thinking and never grows old.
The class-wide level management system used in Tactics Ogre (2010) has changed to a unit-by-unit level system. Theorycraft your way through endless combinations of classes, equipment, skills, and magic.
Enjoy numerous playability improvements, such as a quicker pace of battle, auto save, and a complete overhaul to the controls and UI to make it easier to get into the game than ever.
The unparalleled details of the characters and backgrounds from the original Tactics Ogre (1995) have been recreated in high definition, while the detailed pixel art that gives the game its unique feel has been preserved and enhanced.
The cutscenes are fully voiced in English and Japanese, and all of the music has been rerecorded with live performances! The voices bring new life to the complex motivations of the characters that make up the factions and shifting political alliances of this epic story.
When you advance far enough in the game you’ll unlock the World Tarot, enabling you to travel back in the story with the power of your forces intact; an incredibly useful feature in a game where your choices have such a huge impact on how the story unfolds. If you wonder what a different choice would have led to, now you can find out!
Traveling back isn’t limited to the story; the Chariot Tarot lets you rewind up to a certain number of moves during battle. In a game of tactical battles where a single mistake can mean the difference between victory and defeat, you can play without worrying that you’ll back yourself into a corner.
Enjoy a wealth of endgame content such as the 100-level Palace of the Dead. A world of endle

I like the way you make videos of Reborn for these un important fights, you just show some tiny bits of battle and shows the final blow and winning the battle before moving to the next while giving a recap on what happened on the previous fight and not like showing the entire battle fighting all these non interesting generic fights.
The only good thing in the treasure is extra Buccaneer classmark if you need more + grave digger title cons is that it will decrease your chaos frame in each clan. Adds a bit more work for recruiting Cressida in Chaos route is the consequence.
Not taking treasure will give One who walks the holy ground title
I took a little detour into the first handful of levels of the PotD. I figured, why not? I'm on holiday, I can spare a little extra time for Tactics Ogre.
Cut to me getting knocked off cliffs and instantly dying for hours and hours. Have fun!
RPGs and palette swaps. Name a more iconic duo
Ohh, I guess Lich is the class that can recruit Umbra (Gremlins, Orcs and similars) just in case you cross path with another one. Necromancers are the undead-focused ones.
This Spectre battle is one of the battles I hated the most on the remake. Took so long to clear, the boss was so annoying. Ugh.
As far as I know on reborn your weapon level tries to catch up with your union level faster.
Taking the treasure would lower your characters loyalty or reduce chaos frame with all factions (one of these, maybe both. can't remember). Negating it on the first choice does the complete opposite! But you do lose on some rare crafting materials, some Goth and I guess some Buccaneer classmarks. Questioning the treasure and negating it gives you virtually nothing except for the great explanation without the downside of taking the treasure.
I must say even though Azelstan's quest is a pain to complete I really LOVE Pirates Graveyard's idea as a resting place for any sea man who has nothing left. "If you can't leave your mark in any other way, you leave it here." "This coin is not for anyone to use, least of all for war."
The palette swapped enemies may drop rare things. Not all of them, specific ones have specific loot tables with good drops.
Oh, I've noticed Olivya is holding a two handed Staff. As far as I know there's a bug on this version of the game (hope they patch it) that any Staff equipped on the main hand won't give ANY of it's stats and bonuses unless you equip something offhand. That includes 2H Staves. You can equip a fan, a shield, a dagger, a book or a second staff (in that case the extra staff is the one that won't you give anything) to counter it (or any other thing the class can hold).
Spoiler: There are still very and medium long dungeons on this game. Most of them are sidequests (but worth completing).
iirc the only reason to do the last part of the pirates graveyard after the treasure is that it has a chance to spawn a recruitable lich, being the earliest time you can recruit one, though i dont remember if it was on the second entry to the place or available in story.
The shop you want to visit is Palace of the Dead shop.
Lol, don’t worry, you’ve still got a ways to go with sidequests yet. Though if you ever want to get on with the main story, I believe now that you have azelstan, you can, and those side quests will still be waiting. Seeing as Higm is the next major story beat, you can likely expect new level cap and items if you wanna take a break from side questing.
Well you'll have to go there just ONE more time after you beat the game to recruit one of the best characters lol.
