Our 15th gardening giveaway video focuses 3 different ways to grow potatoes, and introduces our newest potato experiment. If you like gardening experiments and growing potatoes, then this video is for you!

We have grown a lot of potatoes on our property over the past few years, and typically we grow them using seed potatoes. However, we have also grown potatoes using potato suckers cut off of the main plant, and we have found success getting tubers to form in that way.

But there is also a third way that you can grow potatoes. Have you hear of TPS or True Potato Seeds? In this video we show you how to plant true potato seeds, so you can see the beginning of our next potato growing experiment.

We love growing potatoes, and so this option opens the doors to more potatoes and even unique varieties of potatoes that you can grow and cultivate on your own. Thank you for enjoying these true potato seed tips.

    I had never heard of potato berries until this last growing season when I came across a video about them. I purchased a packet of TPS from a seller on Etsy a few months ago just because I was curious. I'll be starting those seeds in January to see how they do. I've only ever grown potatoes from seed potatoes, so it should be interesting. I missed the experiments with growing the cuttings, so I'll have to go back and watch those. I might give that a try as well.

    Yea to the winner!!!! Tried potatoes for the first time in 50 years last year. All leftover store-bought in containers. Good results. Have started the first planting for this year in containers and will be building a raised bed in the next few weeks for spring planting. You have given us lots of ideas.     Can’t wait to see how these turn out! I ordered true potato seeds for the first time. They are a landrace strain so hopefully they will have a better germination rate than seeds I collect from my own potatoes. I’ve actually never even seen potato seeds before.
